A Greater Circle summary: and their team of cross-country arctic adventure-skiiers tell a picareque tale of the peoples they meet and their folkways.
Everyone who reads the stories they produce knows that they're kind of crazy daring to risk being sacrificed by being frozen in iceblock to goddesses just to photograph and describe atmospheric effects not visible anywhere else, but it's a ripping good story and the readers themselves would never dare go to such exotic places. So they read it anyway.

[i]The Greatest Lie[/i ] was once just an average everyday individual. They went to work. Did chores around the home. Didn’t stray far from the ordinary. Until one day, they decided it was time to try something different. Soon they found themselves in a far away land where they wandered away from their tour group and found something mysterious. Rat Palace
is good at staying alive, a challenging prospect anywhere on Earth, but especially in Nuevo Tokyo, especially in the Year of 's Dog. (When people have little past and no future, and no Chief has lasted more than ten years after taking the reign, the Amended Zodiacs suffice for timekeeping.) It would be an especially good time for Scy64 to follow one of her most important rules: keep your distance from politics.

The Ghost of Mrs Tekkela
Fashionble socialite and just married is Seaside City's private detective who uses her wealth and social status to get clients. Her usual divorce, skip-trace, computer fraud, and lost-dog cases always end up with a semi-comic semi-fatal supernatural element. In the three stories of the series so far, "her" ghost is often around but doesn't seem to be all that helpful, TBH. The turnip always drops the clue.
