Hi! I volunteered for a random strain and received this message, Thank you for using the Volunteer Infection Program! You have been matched with an Infection Specialist, now you just need to sit back and enjoy the ride...' but nothing seems to be happening? help!

There should be a new message when you go back to that page that notes that you're in the queue waiting to be infected.
It's been over two days since I signed up for the volunteer infection program (romantic, flushed) and no notification yet. I feel I am wasting my time since I signed up once before and at that time I got the notification, but the strain was removed. I did read that it might have removed due to kissing. I'd rather not cancel and sign up again...I am wasting my subeta points and getting nowhere so far.
go and visit the infection page again you know the VIP page, and be sure it says in a red line that you want to remove your virus, that means that you have got the strain, but its still developing.
Then go to the Survival Celebration forum and on the thread https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/898020/Bite-Me-Directory-2-No-Victims-Left-Behind ask to be bitten for whatever strain it is that you paid for, only do this if you're sure you have a virus going on.letting people with the virus bite you speeds it up a lot,and if you've paid for one, no one else can bite you with a different one. read the front page of that thread, so you know who to ask to come and bite you.
Hi, VIP page says...Thanks for participating in the Volunteer Infection Program! You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus! And then I am given the option to click I've changed my mind! I don't want to be infected! I am on the third day of waiting. At this point I am thinking of canceling and forget about the whole thing...
Its been very glitchy I also lost my first one and this one has taken ages, but it really does help if you go to the biting thread, theres a team of folks who will bite you with that strain to make it appear quicker,it doesnt make it develop any quicker though, in fact I can put mine on and ill ping you to the thread so i can bite if you want? its love bug right?
When I go back to that page it just shows where I can pick a strain again...sigh... and my avatar says no biting for some reason....double sigh...

I'm just reporting my own experience in case there's some kind of bug.
I got the Buzzkill skin with no problems. I took it off and then went to VIP and selected Grosseries. That was over 24 hours ago and I still haven't had an event to say I've received my chosen virus. There's nothing showing up on the Healer's page either but I can still get into the Alcove to craft items.
My current on site HA shows I don't have a zombie skin and I'm not holding a bag of groceries.

So I guess I am having the same issue as everyone else. However, today is day 4 that I am still waiting ...

Q: I haven’t received my virus yet, and there’s a wait time that keeps increasing. What’s happening?
A: When you choose a virus you are entering a queue to receive it. The approximate wait time is the estimate on how long it would take for you to receive your new strain if you signed up now (now being whenever you’re viewing the page). It is not your countdown until your first stage, and there’s no timer that shows you how long until your virus progresses.
On days where a lot of people are signing up, the wait time may be significantly longer.</p>
<p>Q: How long does it take to get the final strain of a virus?
A: It can take around 4-5 days for a new virus, depending on how many stages your virus has. Each stage progresses every few hours, and a virus can have up to 8 stages to go through. Keep in mind that it may be longer if everyone is going into the queue at once, such as days when most people finish out their previous virus.
Older viruses can take up to three days to progress to the first stage if you do not get bit, which can cause the older viruses to take longer to progress to the final stage.</p>
<p>Q: What happens if I sign up for another virus while waiting on my current one?
A: If you haven’t advanced to the first stage of the virus you chose before, signing up for a new virus will overwrite your previous selection and reset the amount of time you must wait to have your virus advance to the first stage. Your sP will not be returned if you change your selection.
My suggestion is if you guys have signed up for an infection but have not received the event yet or the infection is taking too long, go to the survival forums and look for the "[Bite Me Directory] # - No Victims Left Behind!" (https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/898392/Bite-Me-Directory-4-No-Victims-Left-Behind This can cut your wait time from DAYS to minutes/hours, depending on how many users bite you.
