If this has been mentioned before I am sorry.

So an idea hit me today.... What if the Healer has documented accounts of ALL the strains from stage one to final? She would know best as she is the one you go to p, to see if your strain progressed. Anyway she might have all the info and what if she made books based around each strain from stage 1-7 (or first to second last)

Now what if those journals or medical books could give you the option to wear a certain stage? I know people have been wanting that for years. This would be a fun idea... and I know I will ge yelled at by battlers cause books you can't read is a crime..... xD

Do you mean you go to her and she tells you what stage you're on? Because I'm on board with that. I'm always comparing against Subetalodge and not it's the worst, it's just not convenient.

Also, I think staff said no to more wearable books? I know we have items like though, and I would love to see more of them, and include more interesting stages. I think they've stopped after 2011 or so?

Kinda more like you get an item and pick the stage you want. Like each page documents the progression. Maybe you liked stage 3 of a strain, you could "open to page ___" and transform the item and there you have that stage to use.

I mention medical journal cause it seemed logical.

The books wouldn't have to be wearable. I think just means some sort of visual aid. They could simply call it something else -- like a slideshow. They could also kill two birds with one stone and make these "slideshows" available only during the event and could have them be TS, CS, or whatever kind of sink they want. Might work well w/CS where you'd get a discount by buying the complete set of slides. They could also require you to have the actual final skin unlocked in order to buy the previous slides -- which would be non-transferrable.

I think it would probably be a pain to code, but I also think it would be hugely popular. I know I would love to have some more "diluted" viruses like the one you mentioned. Maybe another chance machine in the CS is another option? I dk, but I'd love to see them do this somehow.

Yeah I know wearable books have been discontinued... these are just book-like. Hence my comment that battlers will be mad because you can't read them.

I'm all for this. Some earlier stages of zombification are very cool and it would be nice if they could become permanent. I agree with needing to have the full skin before unlocking the stages.

I don't know what the best way would be to implement this however....

I would love to have the option to wear different zombie stages! for example stage 5 of 2019's white strain!! as a wardrobe item :)

I think I get it now. The slideshow would probably work a little better than a book if we're worried about angry battlers (and realistically, the journals would include a picture for clarity if you're trying to describe something).

And we would have something like this for every strain or is going to condensed somehow (fevers together?).

I want more diluted viruses for a TC myself.

I don't have any hopes of stages becoming available for purchase, but I'd literally pay 10m+ each. Good sP sink I think.

I love this idea.

Could be anything.. could be a non-wearable (like the replacement body parts) where as suggestions, the Healer shows you a book/slideshow/ppt and you pick your stage.

Or maybe the Healer sells inactive virus samples that are basically just wearables for each stage..

I like the idea of having a more interesting mechanism than just items. :)

Every year some variation of this gets suggested, and I'll keep supporting it 'till it happens.

I do very much like the idea of getting the healer involved rather than just releasing them as wearables.

I'd love to see the different stages wearable, but I don't like the idea of an item. A brand new wearable item for every stage of every virus sounds like clutter.

I could see this working better in the wardrobe, where you choose an unlocked virus (in the same place you do now) and it gives a little popup with the stages listed, and you can select one. That would be much cleaner imo.

If you really wanted to incorporate the Healer, I could see a check-in system maybe? Where you have to visit her at each stage so she can document it, and then you unlock all documented stages once the virus hits the final stage. If you get infected and then leave Subeta for a week, you'll only unlock the final stage because you weren't actively participating.

That might be unnecessarily punishing though, considering how few viruses we can unlock each year. It would suck to miss a stage and have to reinfect with that same virus the next year.

I realize that maybe it might be difficult because of the amount of work needed to do this... and maybe there might be issue with the older strains perhaps. But at the very least if we cannot have the actual stages as wears if we get Medical Books that document the strains I could take that as a win too and the Healer might pen those journals perhaps. Either or.

Ohh id probably wear some of the zombie skins if I could wear some of the earlier stages. That would be great

I would kill for a way to wear some earlier stages. Healer seems like it'd be a great way to implement the process.

There used to be a board in here suggesting that we could go to Rachelle for "infected skin grafts" that would allow users access to various stages of strains. I'm still very interested in this. :) Also, I like the addition of the healer. I do feel like it should only show stages for previous years, as it seems new strains shouldn't be known to anyone just yet... mystery and all.
