I couldn't really find any groups for people on the Autistic Spectrum that are meant as communities. So I made my own. This is for anyone on the Autistic Spectrum, or anyone who knows someone who is.

I just wanted to make a group where we could feel comfortable venting about anything that most other people wouldn't understand, or things where our complaining makes us look like immature and impatient brats. Alright, so maybe I am immature and impatient, but it feels good to complain and vent and I mean no harm towards anyone. It makes me feel bad to say "Sorry, I'm Autistic" because people think I'm using it as an excuse when really I just want them to understand that's how my mind works, and everyone has different coping mechanisms.

Anyway, that won't be all this group is for. This can also just be a place to talk to people who are more likely to understand you than most, and even if we don't understand, we will still accept most things.

thanks for this, finally my pap is okay with the idea of me going non verbal at the drop of a hat (ebfore he didnt understand and thought something had to be wrong, which to be fair is usually the case), and gave me a white board for communication.

i also have way, way too many stim things on my desk right now.. i'm very tactile and ofactory based so lots of plkushes and scents.

and dont get me started on my SI (altho, idk if unpopular opinion, but i dont like the term 'special interest'. it seems so juvenile ): )

I'm not autistic, rather schizophrenic. But I'm not certain about how it relates, or contrasts.

I have my problems, habits and strengths. At this time my symptoms are under control, but while I was undergoing treatment early on I was a handful. I'll stop now.

[Edit] I had wanted to model a Scribble Legeica under my learing about autism. How a series of drawings were up to the standard of Leonadro daVinci, and compared to an average child's. I have since transferred to a user looking for a specific birth date.
