we were discussing for fun in the SB and i decided to throw everyone a challenge / homework, and thought, heyyyy, let's make a thread for this, never did it before!! so:

MAKE A (mostly / as much as possible) MONOCHROMATIC HA, USING A PALETTE OF THE SINGLE COLOR YOU DISLIKE THE MOST!! (or "like the least" lol -- i mean you don't have to haaaate it haha!!)

NOTE: it could be ANTHING really, even a pattern: exemple time! if you really can't stand polkadot, welp, you could try to wear as many polkadotted items at once as possible?!

the point of this challenge was to see if people could end up with an outfit they surprisingly actually like, despite using things they never thought they would!!

it all started when i realized i am not so much into pinks and reds, yet i made my currect HA for Valentines and i really adore her!!

fun fact: i find that pushing yourself to wear hues or items that aren't typically your style can be a big trigger for creativity!! c'mon, come try it!!

there aren't any rules really, except be nice, have fun, you don't have to own the items, post below, yadda yadda, yo know the deal...

blonde is a wig color i have more trouble with here too!! really nicely done, pairing with all the cream hues!!

i am glad it worked out into an outfit you actually enjoy!! and saaaaame brown is probs, the color i wear the less, but i don't hate it!! well done!! n_n

I specifically looked for bright pink and yellow, which I'm not usually fond of, and went with a Vesnali motif just to be aseasonal. :p

- My dislike is more of a color combo. I dont like dull olive greens with sort of dull oranges, it reminds me of being sick. I think it can be done right and look good, but it generally makes me queasy lol.

yeah my new sweater is def. not one you want then, that explains that LMAOooo we definitely associate different colors with sickness and so on, for me olive and burnt orange remembers me of the groovy late 60s early 70s and therefore lots of Montreal buildings since most of it was built for the international expo in 67 :O fun fact! hahaha but i can't deal with "salmon" THAT is pukey to me XD or like skintone colored clothes aaarghjskdfdkjf anyways so WOW i actully totally adore that HA, do you feel queasy about it or you still like it in the end? (my little experiment question hehe)

lol yeeeeaaah pretty much. I do see that combo with 60s and 70s stuff but because of the association I dont like that stuff as much, Ive seen that pallette on clothes in stores and just.... no. :( I love salmon both the food and the sort of color. Pair it with sweet cool blues - very summery for me. I used to hate skintone colors clothes but Im ok with some of them now. I like what I made but its still queasy for me.

I really have a dislike for red. It’s my mother’s favourite colour and it was all around me growing up. Red for clothes is a missive dislike of mine, I don’t think it looks good on anyone. The colour has always meant blood, darkness and it smells too much like instense incense sticks for me to look at for too long. I did have fun making this outfit though! Totally looks like something my mother would love so I’m happy to have made something she’d be happy about haha.
