A friend is looking to release her first CW and was curious on which was better to do a limited number of batches or unlimited shop. I'm sure the popularity of the item is a factor. But what do you guys think, would it be easier to do a shop if she doesn't use forums much or is there more profit in one then the other?

If she isn't on the forums much, just putting it in her shop will do no good if no one can find her shop or the item for sale. Without a bit of advertising, people will have to chance upon it.

To answer your other questions: Batches if she only wants a certain amount released, like for friends or etc. However if the item is popular (body mods, tails, and leg mods are trending right now! Something to make note of!) she cannot go back and say she'll release more batches of that item. Yeah it's a dumb kinda rule I know.

If she believes the item to be popular, as in she will definitely sell more than 40 (some people will try for 100, it depends), then stick it in her shop and make unlimited. At the end of the day, it's all about how many people want that item. If I were her, I would make an Interest Check board showcasing or detailing the item and seeing how many people might like it before it's released, then she can make a safer decision. What amount of profit she makes depends on interest and demand.

Thank you man. I just learned of interest boards today so we'll give that a go. Well I can advertise for her since she doesnt like forums we might just do shops so she doesnt have to worry about slots and people. Appreciate your advice man.
