I would love for the notifications/events to show up on my phone. For example I can zap my pet again or train them. Maybe you guys can make a simple subeta app like only messaging and events??

They already show up on your phone! Just gotta open your browser and check. :P

My wiseassery aside, I don't think Subeta is planning to design & maintain a mobile app, or that they currently have the funds for it. It was brought up a few times before and shot down because it's not possible right now. Currently the plan is to make the site more mobile friendly instead.

I honestly would support this, though. Or some way to otherwise get push notifications to the phone from Subeta. So you know, if I'm not at my desktop for whatever reason it'll still ping through and I can check it from my phone to do whatever.

It's worth noting that both topics brought up by Frost are 2-3+ years old and I do think it's plausible to ask again and get some kind of staff answer as to if this would ever be a thing or not. It would certainly make things a lot easier for people who can't always be at their computers and would forget to check otherwise, you know?

Oh don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind a push app for notifications but kinda I don't think it's gonna happen. ._. Subeta would make no money from it, but it costs money to make. Unless they sell it for like... 1$ on app stores, but in that case, only a part of the community can use it and everyone else gets to Deal With It.

[edit]For anyone wondering how much such an app could cost to create and maintain: have a long, but interesting read

I would buy a Subeta app purely for the push notifications, for $1.99

I would love this, if it's possible.

At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone.
It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out.
You cannot read Loss, only feel it.

i do not support this because i do not want the coding team spending time building and debugging an app when we are still waiting for new site features already announced, like the tea house / garden / map revamp (announced may 2017) and the pet profile changes (announced feb 2018).

This gets asked every few years. Subeta is moving towards a more mobile friendly layout and that's it. Infrastructure for the site needs to be fully compatible with newer framework. Old features are getting rewritten and they are attempting to move other old systems to new ones that interact appropriately with what was already revamped. What resources we do have needs to be applied to getting that done while balancing new features/events to keep the userbase happy. If you think the various browsers having browser specific bugs is tough it is even rougher for mobile phones. It's not worth the money, the effort, or the potential gains.

Quote by Keith
We have a lot of work going into a more mobile friendly version of Subeta right now, that we&;ve been working on for the last few months. This includes an entire redesign (uh oh) that is significantly easier to scale down/up depending on the size of your screen, as well as rewriting entire pieces of the site

I'd love a notification feature someday, if we could get to that point. I'd like to set what notifications we get, so it's not flooded with useless stuff. But I'd love to know when people post on threads I maintain, or if I get an sMail.

I'll just have to wish upon a shooting star for this haha.
