Alrighty while the Cash Shop as a whole got a revamp which was much needed one feature of it still needs a little fine-tuning. Really glad though that it received it's own permanent easy to access link though and did get a facelift. The feature I am talking about is the Purchase Log.

Essentially, this feature is supposed to help us figure out where our precious CSC has gone. Think of it as a checkbook balance. However, it is not exactly user-friendly. Right now we have the following columns: Image, Item Name or Description, Credits Charged, Timestamp. I propose changing the name of "Credits Charge" to "Credit Change" and then adding a column of "Credit Balance" between that and the timestamp.

Right now credits charged is a little backward in terms of deciphering it. If it is just a number that means you were charged that amount of credits (You buy a one month GA for 500 CSC. So you see in Credits Charged 500 meaning you lost 500 CSC). If you have a minus in front of that number it actually means you gained that amount (I bought and redeemed a 500 csc gift card. So seeing -500 in the Credits charged column means I added 500 credits to my total). Do the stand positive for increasing balance and negative for removal. Then in the Credit balance, you can see how that altered the amount you had at the time of the timestamp.

My hopes is that with these two changes it makes it easier for users to see how their transactions in CSC went.

This is a rehash of an idea from An updated CSC transaction log which is past ok to post limits.

Proposed Changes [li] Change "Credit Charge" column title to "Credit Change" [li] Add Credit Balance Column (At the time of the timestamp listed what was the CSC Total) [li] Add + for a gain and - for a loss [li] Collapse similar consecutive transactions (Like Morty Card) [li] Add in changes from purchasing items from the cart and not just direct buys Link to post explaining used to be a thing [li] Include CW Item Slots. You pay for a slot and get the item doesn't seem to appear on log

I think removing the minus sign would make things more confusing? It should definitely be switched though, so that a charge is negative and a credit is positive. It probably uses negative for a credit because the column is named "credits charged" (so charged a negative amount = credit to your account), which is kind of confusing now that I look at it. I'd change the column name from "credits charged" to something like "transaction" or "change" so a positive credit and negative charge make more sense.

Also I haven't looked at this page in a long time, but now I see I have like 150+ Morty Card listings. It would be nice if those could be collapsed somehow, like multiples of an item on the quick stock page.

Oh, I second being able to collapse the Morty Card ‘transactions’. It defeats most of the purpose of looking back and seeing your history when 80% of it is 5 CSC at a time in a looooong list.

It also doesn’t show any purchases you’ve made via the shopping cart, only items you’ve clicked to purchase one by one. It would be nice if this could also be fixed!

Yeah, I agree which is why I would change the column name from "Credit Charge" to "Credit Change". There is currently no + symbol included. It is just -500 or 500 which again is confusing. That is why I suggested the Font change or colors but I was worried about those who may be color blind. Like a note up top that BOLD is Added and Italicized is Removed should be easy enough?

Will definitely add a similar transaction collapse but that would work I assume only for consecutive since it runs on timestamp.

I did not notice this. I will add it to the first post. So like does it not show up at all? Or is it like here is the shopping cart amount but doesn't list everything you actually bought?

As far as I can tell, the purchases are just not accounted for as far as the log is concerned. I spent $25 on CSC earlier this week and spent nearly all of it on a bunch of various years' February Collections, using the cart feature... I'm currently back down to just under 400 CSC and the transactions for the Collections are not included anywhere in the log.

Here's a screenshot (there's a lot of Morty Card stuff before and after):

Ahh got it. Yeah, that is definitely what I would consider being an issue for a feature that is tracking changes in CSC total. Would you accept there being a line that just says Cash Shop Cart Purchase and then whatever the amount is, or would you prefer each item be counted? I am not sure if the second one is feasible but is a magician at times.

It would be cool if we could get the full item list in there, yeah, but even just having a line re: a cart purchase would be better than it is now!

- I think the cart thing might be a bug. I recently purchased the Plate of Charlie Gingerbread Cookies and Mixed Salad Bowl using the cart, but it's not showing up in my CS log. However, if I go back further I can see this purchase back in October:

I don't remember what I bought, but apparently it used to log cart transactions. The CS was revamped November 23, so they probably changed something at that time. That definitely needs to come back.

When I said positive, I just meant a regular number without a - sign. Not that I'm opposed to adding a + sign, but it should be intuitive enough as long as they flip it around and make charges negative. A negative suggests that the value is being subtracted from your CSC.

I don't like the idea of using bold and italics in place of signage because it's non-standard, and people wouldn't know what they meant without reading the instructions (and then remembering the rule). Positive/negative is immediately understandable to anyone without an explanation as long as it's used correctly.

I am not opposed to the symbols. I only considered font change for users with some sort of visual impairment because the previous board wanted some color change.

I was also told CW Batch items are not showing up on the list either. So of you pay for a slot and then receive the item once slots fill it doesn't show up.
