One of my longtime friends from Neopets was chatting about this site and how she got one of our other friends to start playing so I was like "Hey, I should join too! It sounds like fun!" And now I have no idea what I am doing.

As a side note, I'm not too sure if I'll be fully active on here or just pop on every now and then throughout the day. But I'd still like to at least get into something that hopefully isn't as toxic of a community (not neopets though I mean it dooooes get bad sometimes) as where I've been hanging out mostly. It's been nothing but negative on my health and I hope this re-sparks my interest to be active on places again and more talkative.

I also have a few questions about here.

How welcoming is this place to new user artist? The site I came from was very toxic to both new and old artist and unless you're this person or that person it really showed. I got told my first week to just leave, that isn't the end of it but just an example.

How much is 'fair pricing' here? This is subjective from site to site and often depends on if you're just coloring or making new things for pets and clothing. So what is fair pricing or about average you see for them?

How active is everyone? I see people on and chatting, which is lovely compared to some sites I'm on but how often are people actually active? If that makes sense?

I've been here a month and a half. Literally everyone I've seen here is really nice. I don't know what they're like towards artists in particular, but if it's anything like the rest of the site, you'll be fine.

Generally, when I interact with people, they'll respond somewhere between a few minutes and a few days. It's definitely possible to maintain a good conversation or friendship.

I find the user base to be pretty nice and relaxed here. There are a lot of very kind people, and since you're an artist I imagine you're more like to meet them faster. The art market is probably one of the most popular aspects of the site. Custom Wearables(clothing created for the avatars by the user base) are probably the most popular aspect of the art market but there are always other people looking to buy normal art of their OCs and such. :) Pricing is dependent on your art quality but I find auctions help with that. You can even do some freebies to get your name out there and so on. I'm an artist myself so I can definitely help you if you have anymore questions~

Hello and welcome to subeta! I came here specifically to tell you that I went to middle school with a dude named Zaid (and he was also an artist), but I doubt you're him. XD He totally would have had a title in which he dramatically rolled in, too.

Subeta can be a little confusing at first (luckily you joined between holidays lol), but everyone here is suuuper friendly and always willing to answer questions.

And we LOVE new artists. A lot of artists do a few freebies at first to test the market and gauge interest, and ask for pricing suggestions, but I've seen anywhere from $5 for sketches to $40+ for full-colored, full-bodied pieces.

As for the blue building, I'm not really sure. I think it gives you quests and there's a shop in there. All I know is that I can't access it yet, so naturally I want to go in there. It could just be a broom cupboard for all I know.

You need to meet some requirements to get in there. The hardest one is making 100 forum posts.
