Anyone watched this documentary?! It's completely insane, documenting Alex Honnold 'free soloing' (climbing with no ropes or harnesses) up pretty much a 900m vertical rock using just his hands and feet for support. Never seen anything like it, and I didn't even know about free solo climbs before I watched the doco. It's not just the incredible act of athleticism that seemed to defy all logic that made the film great (literally I was watching with my hands between my eyes the whole time lol), but I also love how it delves into his blossoming relationship with his girlfriend. Two totally different views on life (him seeking 'performance' and her just seeking happiness) but somehow they meet in the middle and make it work. Alex Honnold is such an interesting cat, I want to be able to understand his psyche more but it's so drastically different from my own lol.
