To date, we've had the username change turned from an item into a paid option. Same for the pet hypnowands, and the Mystical Montre and Donadak plushies for our pet slots!

It just seems sensible that these items, which seems like a point of contention among users should be changed to fit our needs today. How many of you would drop a dollar to change your pet's gender? Easily, right? A bit less daunting than dropping 10m.

But there would still be cries to lower the price, which I ultimately agree with. Some friends of mine have voted to dropping it down to 2.5m, I say 25 CSC. Anything to more easily fine tune our pets to our ideals.

plus retiring them also removes the chance of accidentally feeding the berries rather than using them so that's also 👌

i like the idea of retiring the berries and making them food based items only. and i’m saying this with like four different berries in my vault (for a rainy day).

if possible, i’d think it’d be super rad to make a page for gender changes. i like the idea of it costing 2.5mil, but 25 csc could also work.

I wouldn't mind seeing the paid option, though I don't want to see the berry retired completely just because it's still an edible item. Retire the function and the not the item, I guess?

But I'm up for anything that makes changing a pet's gender less painful to one's bank account.

All the other items of the sort (ISS, plushies, wand) have been converted to fixed prices features. This is the logical continuation.

If they implement this I hope they give us a heads up, so I can at least use my two genderless berries (I have about 20 pets that may or may not be genderless, so I procrastinate). But also, no to the csc option. I don't care if it's only 25csc. Keep it at sP.

I can see the possibility of Euclid charging sP or tokens for a gender change at the zapper.

+1 +1 +1 on this because I can't tell you how many times that I'd get a berry and feed it rather than use it. and at 10mil a pop? no thanks. :c

I kind of agree with the sP/tokens options versus CSC however. 2.5mil is a little up there if you ask me though nobody did but let's just pretend and I think 500k-1mil is more reasonable. a lot of users have upwards of 70.. 80.. even 90 pets. I'm personally in the 70's and I hate when I need to get a gender change --

I also +1 the option of more gender options but I feel it might also cause a few more issues since some users don't want to get more complicated than that. there are a LOT of gender options to boot, more than just male/female/genderfluid/nb/etc, so I'd be afraid of people going "but what about THIS gender!" in response then getting upset when it's shot down. maybe a revamp of the icons at least. that'd be nice. nothing too huge but just a teeny little touch-up.

maybe a page set up to determine genders? set up like the "move treasure chest slots from other pets" page, perhaps? with dropdown lists under each pet image and each costs so-and-so much. then you can do it in a single go, get it over with, spend your currency all at once and not accidentally feed instead of use. orz

The only issue I see with this is that the gender berry was never a cash shop item. The other items mentioned in OP were items paid by cash(way back when you mailed it to Keith)/card before they became an itemless but still uses csc option.

Earning 10 mill really isn't hard. Sucks to spend a chunk on gender change, but how many items have ANY of us saved for that are EXPENSIVE, more than the berry, to just sit in a tc to be looked at?

Call me the unpopular vote here if you wish. I just don't think an item that was never sold in the cash shop should be moved to the csc option.

Maybe do like what has been done with other pet features that aren't cs based and make an sp set price? Another sp sink of sorts?

Also if the function of gender change is taken from the berries shouldn't they get new names? Still be edible but renamed?

Why not keep the berries in the Millionaire Center and reduce the price to 1 million sP?

... Unless this was referring to putting them in the cash shop which in case LOL they having issues making money and keeping users that will absolutely not help. Don't do that subeta, there are other very adorable pet sites where gender changes are free/tons of options don't go in the p2p route.

And no 10m in and of itself is not ridiculous. But to change a pet's gender, which is critical to a pets concept/design/character and is 100% against the rules to lie about on a profile/hide the real gender ANNND considering people can have 100 effing pets now...... Yeah it is actually kinda very high??
