Other than doing quests what else can I do?

On the news page on the right there's a thing that says "Dailies", click on that and it will show you all the things you can do.

You can also take all the items you get from quests and run them through the Fragmentizer in Darkside to get crystals, and try out the vending machines in all the different lands (they take wizard coins).
