right now the way pet headshots are handled is not only inconsistent, it's also quite unwieldy.
when editing a pet's headshot, the preview uses a circle, but when you confirm it displays as a square. some parts of the site display square headshots, and some display circular headshots. maybe make this consistent? this is already mentioned in Pet Headshot Inconsistencies. this makes it hard to gauge how the headshot you've selected as a circle will appear when in square format, often leading me to want to make small adjustments - which brings me to my next point:
once you've confirmed the headshot, you can't adjust it. you have to completely reselect it, which can be annoying when you're trying to fine-tune the positioning. so for instance if i see the square preview of my pet's headshot and realize it looks just a teeny bit off (it also feels like the square headshot skews a little to the left of the circular headshot) and i'd like to scooch it over a few pixels, i can't. i have to just kind of hope that i get the positioning right on my next attempt, or else i have to start all over again until it looks just right to me.
it's not really that big of a deal, and it might be more complicated to change how this works, but if it's possible a more 'seamless' method of choosing the headshot, that allows for finer adjustments and actually saves the positioning between edits, might be nice.
Support for any changes made to this for sure! I know it's is hard to get it just right in mobile which can be a pain...
I like the square one better.
I was thinking the left-skew was a figment of my imagination or an optical illusion or something. I'm glad someone else sees it.
The ornaments on the luminaire trees are drag-and-drop, and they don't change when you save them. Can headshots be made to use the same system, and would this be a helpful thingy to do?
it's real for sure! in the screenshot below you can see, the circular headshot has a little space next to the jollin's left (viewer's right) cheek, but the square headshot cuts off the edge of that same cheek! it also appears to be a little higher (compare how much of the neck ruffle is visible on either one).

Definitely support this - there's got to be a more user-friendly way of getting the perfect headshot, and the headshot moves two / three pixels to the left and up of where we pick (I'd never thought of looking closely at that until now, but that would explain why a lot of my headshots never looked quite 'right'! I thought it might just be down to the circle / square but it definitely moves)
