Having quick stock on your shop page would make sense if it was just to put stuff into your shop, but it's used to quickly put your items into your vault, wardrobe, collections... when I first came back to Subeta after a hiatus, it took me a bit to find where the quick stock was when I wanted to move all the crap in my inventory to my vault. I've also seen a few newbies confused by this as well. Imo it just makes a lot more sense to have it directly in your inventory, since you're moving stuff from there to somewhere else.
Obviously not a mega important suggestion, just a small QOL thing!

How exactly do you want to do this? Create a link for each of your shops at the top of the page? Create a whole new QS page that doesn't stock into any of your shops?
Personally, to solve this problem, I would prefer a line of text telling you to access quickstock through the commerce menu by clicking on (qs) next to any of your shops.

I just had the idea that if the Quick Stock page was accessed from the Inventory, it would have to have options to move things to each of your shops, but that would get cumbersome quickly for users who have more than a couple shops.
My suggestion... Keep the current shop quickstocks exactly as they are and where they are. But, add a new "Inventory Quick Stock" that is slightly simplified. The Inventory Quick Stock could at least have all the options, minus shop (so, Vault, Wardrobe, Armory, Collection, Keep, Donate, Delete). That way you have a quick way to do mass transfer of items from your inventory. Ideally, I would like to see functionality to set a "default shop", and that Inventory Quick Stock will always send items to your single shop of choice. Alternatively, setting the default shop could be a GA perk.
Or the GA perk could be total customization of the QS. So, want to show 3 potential shops to send items to? Want to get rid of the Armory and Delete categories? Want to instead add a "send to currency"? You got it.
So, to sum. The Inventory QS would have the simplified QS options, minus "move to shop", which you could still have if you went through the shops directly.
(And my argument for why this should happen - it is rather annoying to locate the QS if you're new. Additionally, even if you know where it is, it's a ton of clicks to get to on an average day.)
A dropdown menu to select which shop to send stuff to, or revamp the whole thing to be more like the vault?
You could even go a step further and add the quickstock options on the inventory page itself, so clicking a button magically places checkboxes by each item and adds move options (number, destination dropdowns) at the bottom of the page.

yes, thank you for articulating my idea much better than me... :') is it ok if I quote this and put it in the OP?

Absolutely! Feel free to summarize. I was rambling by the end. :P
But where would this mythical help text even be displayed? In the inventory? Well why not just link to a quick stock? A tool tip on the bar that says "Inventory"
Really love this idea! There are many categories I simply don't use and would love to be able to QS into several shops/galleries at once. Far more useful than the current QS. But I wouldn't want to see it as a GA perk, definitely would prefer it as the main system for everyone.
That's also an interesting idea. I don't like the idea of checkboxes or dropdowns messing up the inventory - but if you can keep it as it, and have the option to click a button to make those show up, I can see that being very useful.

Additionally, even if you know where it is, it&;s a ton of clicks to get to on an average day.
And the point still stands that newer users might not have any idea about quick stock to begin with. There are a lot of drop down menus to remember. Having additional text in a sea of text begs the question of why not just link directly?
Quick Stock is about moving items. Not just to shops either. So it shouldn't be relegated to the shop area only. By that logic, there should be a quick stock for wardrobe, and armory, and vault specially.
ah...not familiar with other means of accessing the site, that sounds like an absolute pain.
The main problem I see with a direct link on the inventory page is that the current system is tied to the shops. From my understanding this means there is no quick fix (one link, QS pops up)- and we know from experience that it could take more than a year to get around to making a new QS that's independent (sort of) from the shop system. Revamping the entire system is a good idea for the long run, but what can be done in the short term?

Hm, yeah, that's fair. I wonder if the short term fix could be just setting a default shop. So, set the default shop as shop X. And then add a quick stock link to the inventory that's essentially a shortcut to shop X's QS.
I would love to see some customization for the QS, but if we want to avoid waiting a year, would this be a reasonable compromise?
It makes it easier for confused folks, it lessens the clicks required, and doesn't add to much unnecessary redundancy.
If its possible, I think it would make a great interim fix. It would still require an error page though, for folks who haven't yet created a shop/gallery.

I was just informed that this idea was actually mentioned on an earlier board. Please post your support or additional suggestions here at Quickstock from Inventory. Just makes it easier for staff to have it on one board. Locking as this is considered a duplicate.
