I am a traditional artist but my digital art game is bad...All I do on there is use the brushes and apparently my digital shading is taboo in the art world anyone use krita or a similar art progam that could give me some tips for making better digital art?
I use it! One thing that helped me that could help you too is watching some speedpaints to get a feel how other artists use the program. I like Sara Tepes and David Revoy's videos!
The krita website has some really nice tutorials that could be helpful too.
I've tried Krita out of curiosity, but I definitely enjoyed MediBang Paint Pro more. It's another good free art program and I feel like it's like the bastard child of PaintTool SAI and Photoshop. A tip would be to mess with the brush settings until you find something that you're comfortable drawing/painting with. Going from traditional to digital can take a little getting used to :D

I used Krita before I managed to catch Clip Studio Paint on sale. It's pretty good for a free program, with some of the capabilities of Photoshop that I enjoyed (mostly the tiled background thing and I managed to make a small sprite animation)
I suggest trying different brush and layer settings to get the color or effect you're trying for.
Krita is a great program, although it took me awhile to get used to their ui - when I first got it, it was soo cluttered. If you are looking for other digital tools that are free, Autodesk released their sketchbook program for free ! I'm sure just googling Autodesk Sketchbook should bring it up for you!
As for tips on digital drawing, StudioBlinkTwice offers tons of really good, short tutorials on how to draw and also change your thinking on how to draw as well. Also just like getting to know your program is good - do some studies, play around w/ different brushes, just have fun ya know?

Krita is good. I remember I spent a long time tweaking the brush settings and shortcuts in Krita before it worked for me. I think Sai is better for starting off it's just... simpler. And despite how simple it is it's not a worse program at all. The line work and color mixing you can do in Sai is wonderful.
