Why didn't it shop up

I bought an Ebil Blob Doll to play with a pet for Major Drills but he hasn't counted it. Why? As pricey as that item is I don't want to buy another one.
probably because your pet is at 10 of 10 happiness. If you pet has minion it will be at 10 happiness forever. If you pet is in the resort or inn it will also be at 10 happiness. So to do those quests you need at least one pet that is not in the resort/inn and has no minion and that you don't play with.

My pets happiness wasn't 10/10 and it isn't in the resort or inn and it did play with the toy which another pet who was happy wouldn't do. Even then it didn't count. I quite the quest and I'm on another now but I think I know what might have happened. It was probably one of those irritating this THEN this quests. I hate doing major drills.:(
