I was bedridden most of yesterday (yay toddler germs). I managed to log on, but fog brain made me completely forget Melody's cottage. I really wish there was a way to get the previous days' Melody's Cottage by paying like 250 CSC or something, so that if you want to be able to recuperate, made just one day's mistake of not checking in for real life reasons, you don't completely miss out on the change at collecting the item at the end of the month.

Just the ability to do it for the day before, not a slew of days all missed in a row. Yes, it'd be cheaper for me to just buy the items if I want them (and I probs will), but I'd pay the CSC at this point to recuperate my sick day. :(

I get the impulse behind this. I'm so paranoid all of December, adding to the holiday stress, to make sure, double sure that I get to Melody's every day.

Yet, I still can't support it. We can already buy our way into many, many achievements. I like having a few achievements that we have to actually achieve.

I'm sad for illness, power outages, dropped internet, storms and other things that might make it impossible to visit Melody for a day or more, but still feel its important to stick to the concept of having to collect each day to get the achievements.

Melody’s cottage is an incentive for people to check subeta every day and rewards those that do. If we were able to just buy a way out of missed days then it makes the rewards and achievement meaningless. What is the point then of even having the achievement?

If this is a matter of getting items missed, you can always buy from user shops. Prices tend to deflate after a few days.

Real life happens and it isn’t possible for everyone to get on every day. I understand that and not wanting to miss out but the achievements are not meant to be easy for everyone to get, that’s why they are achievements. They are meant to be earned. I’m sorry but I don’t support the idea of buying achievements. I really hope you are feeling better though!

Having restarted the baths more than once (I've never been able to get to the 250 day tier - my best streak is 226 days) I can really understand and empathize with the desire for this.

Unfortunately I neither support nor not support this because I suspect the answer is going to be exactly the same as it is every time someone asks for something similar for broken bath house streaks - no.

I can definitely see the want for something like this, but... no. It's easy enough to buy missed items - including the one that is released at the end of the calendar with sP.

An achievement should be just that - an achievement. Wouldn't really mean much if you just threw CSC at it and everything was fixed.

I would fully support this idea. I missed one day this year, ruining my 11 year streak.

As much as I would love this as someone who lost a few days to travel, I simply can't approve of it, this site doesn't need any Pay To Win mechanics like THAT

I somehow missed visiting Melody on the 8th. I don't know how, I'm pretty sure I was on the site, it probably just slipped my mind. Didn't even realize it had happened until I checked my achievement counter and saw it was off by one, then double checked for the items that were supposed to be released that day. Sure enough, I never collected them.

Luckily I don't collect stickers and I can live without the wearable horns, so I don't need those items. But now I've screwed myself out of whatever we get for visiting all 31 days (if it's a pet slot I'll be pissed, that's the only thing I'd really be interested in. I mean, I can still buy those, but still...).

So I empathize with wanting to make up that one day. I really do. But like most people have already said, I can't support this. =( I slipped up, it sucks, gotta move on. I just don't feel like paying a little money to make up that day is the same as people who paid attention and made sure they visited every day. Besides, least I don't have to worry about missing other days since I already missed one, I guess XD

It's not like you can't buy up the items from the missed days or, if there's ever an option implemented, it shouldn't count towards the achievement.

Mmm everyone else prettymuch said all that needed to be said about this. I don't think we need it, but it would be nice to be able to catch up somehow if you've missed it because of circumstances beyond your control. ._. At least the free shop usually has manymany Melody items when it opens?

Instead of catching up with CSC, how about getting a special token from Melody for visiting the cottage for 25 days? You can give that to Melody if you need to catch up with a day. Though I don't know how feasible this would be coding-wise.

Hmmm...now that's an interesting idea. Get a "catch-up token" as a prize one year, but only able to use it the following years. I'd be willing to support that rather than just forking over some CSC. But I'd also want it to be account bound and not something you sell to other users.

I'm not into the idea of it being account bound. There's the issue of limited room for locked items and not being able to vault/store account-bound items. I also don't really want it to be a new currency for something that you can only obtain one instance of once a year.

If it could be made so that account bound items can be vaulted, then I wouldn't mind having it account bound!

agreed. Its not something you'd want sitting in your inventory all year! It would definitely have to be able to be vaulted. The only reason I'd want it to be account bound is to avoid the ability to "buy" an achievement. Making it a bonus you earn yourself and can't buy mitigates that.

Having it sitting in my buffs for a year is also kind of... odd. I already have that problem with the extra wizard quest buff and shop discount not expiring. ;P

Though having it for visiting 25 days straight would be odd because what if you miss the middle of the month? Maybe it could be for visiting 25 days in total instead of consecutively. Because if you missed today, you won't have the chance to get the token/boon. At all. And that would stink. ._.

Or maybe have a low chance to get the token/boon for releasing fairies? Though those are already tedious and I can guarantee you that nobody even looks at them after finishing the achievement.

I've missed a day but I'm still against this. Same reason Im against alerts for the bathhouse and paying to restart your streaks. There isnt much on this site that is difficult, and this is one of the few things that are a pain in the ass but rewarding if you put in the effort.

agree with , you can't have every achievement on site, and buying into them defeats the purpose of it being an achievement. no support.
