so idk if you guys have seen this but Netflix recently released Mowgli, directed by Andy Serkis (AKA Gollum) who also plays Shere Khan in the movie. it's got a huge cast of stars including Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale and Benedict Cumberbatch. I watched it because I'm having a phase where I just click anything on Netflix and let it play lmao, BUT despite HATING this movie, I have a lot of feelings!!!!

1. why did netflix buy this movie when disney JUST made a live action jungle book???
2. why do all of their faces look like that **
3. WHY IS MOWGLI SUCH AN ASSHOLE????

** they all have this freaky uncanny valley thing going on where they look TOO MUCH like human but also every single one of them, ESPECIALLY BHOOT, look like this cat

incidentally, this is also how I felt throughout the whole film

i've talked to so many people who loved mowgli and exactly none of them were bothered by The Faces, i needed this thread in my life lmao
