I'm really not sure how long this has been happening it, I just noticed it today. Not even sure if its a bug or intentional.
I have a gallery where I store stuff. This gallery is full, 10K items. When I quickstock into this gallery from my inventory, it will take all the duplicate items in my inventory and add them to the shop, giving me an error list for the rest of the items. Then I generally go back and stick the rest of the items into my vault. This is normal.
Today, I interrupted the process and instead of tossing everything into my vault went back to my inventory and did some stuff. Thats when I noticed that my items were no longer in timeline sort, they were now in alphabetical sort. Stuff I added after that point did continue to display in timeline sort.

Hey, sorry for the late response! I would say this is unintentional behavior. I'll see what I can do about it :)

No problem, its a small thing and I knew it might not be addressed quickly. :)

I never bothered to check and notice that the new order was alphabetical, but timeline order has been getting lost after quickstocking to a new shops I believe always.
You have experienced this recently?

Just checked. Yeah, it's still doing it.
Thank you :)

I have been keeping mine on User Price and it will occasionally go back to Timeline (what I believe I've used most recently prior to User Price).
Not 100% on any particular trigger, but I have noticed it at least once when I get randomly half logged out of the site (I can see the site/layout/news/etc and my Subeta drop down still says "logout" vs kicking me to the actual logged out page - with the random avatar previews and recent news previews).
Have any of you noticed this continuing to happen?
When it happens do you have category sort on or off? Stacking on or off?
yes, just checked it, still happening. Interesting - I never noted it before, but the locked portion retains its timeline sort.
Categories - no
Stacking - yes

Yes, it still happens. Categories - no Stacking - yes Timeline
After it's resorted alphabetically are you able to resort by something else, then go back to timeline to get a different result?
Sorry - I wasn't able to replicate to test yet.. but I have a ton of items in my inventory so I'm trying to limit it down as I respond.
Thank you for testing! I'm kind of wonder if it's because when the quickstocker processes the item even though it technically didn't go anywhere, it's being handled like it's just moving to the inventory? The quckstock lists items alphabetically, so it's likely also processing them in alphabetically order as well.
Just a guess, which could be totally wrong. xD I'll leave this open for a programmer.
Sounds logical.
That was my assumption too. So in a sense it still "thinks" its in timeline order because it got added back to the inventory after attempting to quickstock.
