I am looking for book recommendations. I love fantasy and horror.

Stephen King is my favorite horror writer! Pet Sematary and the Shining are both great reads

For horror, I like Thomas Ligotti and Brian Evenson. Ligotti reminds me a bit of H.P. Lovecraft if you like cosmic horror. Evenson's work is kind of violent and nihilistic (not yet splatterpunk, but it's not for the faint of heart either), but if you like New Weird, give it a try :) I like Last Days (even wrote a college paper on it, haha)

Also, I like John Harwood. He writes more Gothic horror/suspense, like The Ghost Writer and The Seance.

For fantasy, I heavily recommend Children of Blood and Bone. It is set in a magical world with an African twist. I listened to the audiobook and was hooked after the first chapter. Tamora Pierce and Mercedes Lackey are two of my go-to authors for fantasy as well.
