Uh every time I purchase an item from special shops with the buy button I get told not to refresh the page... even though I'm not.. I tap the button once and still get the error.
I still get the item though, no issues there.
I've had that a lot lately even though I'm using the special shops' back button and returning to the section I want if there's more than one section.
IME this is the result of 's most recent implementation of a solution to the problem some users have where those users end up getting two items instead of one item when they buy from this kind of shop.
Somewhere in there is a detector that they put, that senses the merest hint of a possible second purchase. Rather than suppose it's still a coding error, it blames you the user. Now me, I know damn well why I get double items, I have a movement disorder no surprise there. It's weird for me to get this particular error message though. It's not me who is blaming Subeta and it isn't a deliberate mistake on my part. It seems unnecessarily accusatory.
Getting this a lot but it doesn't stop me from getting the item at all

This might be better asked in a Thursday siteupdate or Suggestions? Just because it feels that way to me doesn't mean that that's why the other users posting here didn't understand or like the error.
I don't think the error message has to be specific at all unless you are using it to track whether the error is still happening. I'm not the best person for this because I could have been getting double items and never it would occur to me that it was site-error. This means I have no idea if it was happening to me to start with and don't know what those users to whom it was happening might be feeling now that the error has been caught.
However: "possible double purchase detected (please) check your inventory" or "if you need to refresh go to the original purchase page" or separately from the above or in additionally to above "go back to the original purchase page if you wish more than one copy (of string)" where anything in the above possible error messages in parens is optional and string is a variable with the item name of the thingy the user just bought.
If I try to buy something from usershops I get rarely a 'oops unable to purchase at this time" error sometimes so that error could be reused. I know that sometimes when I get that error I have a copy of the bought-item and sometimes I don't so it isn't confusing to me anymore. So this error message could be reused.

Noticed that there wasn't a reply to your inquiry.
I had gotten some of the error messages myself. Though sadly a few days after a CS transaction lagged out and triple purchased the same item (shrugs Be some awesome Lumi gifts. lol)
Maybe a simple warning. - Sort of like a " Oops, Looks like the page double refreshed. It is an awesome product, did you want to buy another?" or "Oops, looks like the buy button was double pressed, did you mean to buy another? " Sort of message. Its hard to say when its "accusatory" when it could possibly be on the users end, but thats here nor there.
Oh that's wonderful, thank you so much! I am good at coding but very bad at writing error messages it seems >.<
I will update it with that within the hour :)

- No problem. Its sort of hard to word something like that. And its not really a bad error message. It was an error worded exactly what was needed. I wouldn't use the word "bad" , but it did make me do a good head tilt and eye brow raise. ^.^
