Some ornaments, lights, etc. would be really cool if we had flipped versions, ie lights and popcorn being able to be draped on your tree opposite of how they currently are. Would it be possible for that?
While I agree that there are plenty of items I'd like to use reversed, I suspect it would take nearly as much work as creating completely new ones and I'd rather see new ones.

I think it could probably be done programming wise vs art wise - basically give users a 'flip' button, no touch ups on the few ornaments that wouldn't look right straight mirrored. No need for anyone to go through and do anything individually to anything.
Some small scaling options would be nice too, but I could see that possibly being too much work?
Just some thoughts on improvements that might be nice if trees are going to continue to be a more focused feature in the future.
I support this idea, and think it would be fun. No redraws though. Everyone has an old sentimental/heriloom ornament of some kind that's ugly/off/worn/out of fashion/omg did I buy that 20 years ago what was I thinking/broken in some way and they put them on the tree anyways. Let users decide if it looks bad and then just don't do it if it bothers them.
I think this could be fun even if some ornaments would look oddly lit. While Subeta doesn't try to do RL, sometimes a Christmas Tree is in a location where there are multiple indoor sources of light in addition to the lights generated on the tree itself, so weird perspectives are expected.
