Hi! I am back on Subeta after a loooooong hiatus, and I recently discovered battling, which I never never used to do when I first created my account. I try to train my battle pet as frequently as possible (I admit I have to be more consistent on it), and through exp points I have been improving his stats, which are now as follows:

Level: 85 Health: 157 / 157 Strength: 236 Defense: 144 Speed: 151

I easily defeat the first ten battle quests, but n° 10 is usually Angry beard. I have been reading lots and lots of guides on the forums, and I see that it would be better to have a T4+ pet. I am wondering if there is any way I can defeat him using only tier 3 weapons (and shards eventually - I don't have scrolls because I still have to save some sp for those ahaha) or if I still have to keep training and wait until I will reach T4. Thank you :D

I wish I could help, but I don't think I'd send my T3 against him and she's fast approaching T4 and has access to some very good scrolls (usually I have just Aftershocks equipped). :(

On the plus side, one of my favourite thing about BQs is how good it feels as you work up towards higher and higher levels.

Until I pull Angrybeard in my BQs again, I cannot offer you more exact suggestions since I cannot remember what his stats are or the icons he attacks with.

Generally speaking, equipping Dark (Fire/Water/Death etc) Potions(you can bring as many as you can sit through equipping from your inventory to that pet but each one is gone forever after it is used in battle) can allow you to inflict more damage and the various Pylonics(only one of each Pylonic per battle, and then they're gone forever) can even the odds a little in your favor, particularly Negating Pylonic as it blocks all damage on the turn it is used.

You can also modify your weapons, and if you get lucky you can get off the effect. Most T3 weapons seem to have at least 1 mod-slot, so if you can equip for example a defense marquise crystal relevant to the icons/element that Angrybeard uses, you can diminish the damage he does. Marquise are the second-best of the mod crystals available and relatively cheap to buy and replace. They also come in attack(just remove the 'defense' from the name for that element).

I hope this helps. Good luck!

you are right, it must be a great feeling when you finally beat an enemy that you've been working on for so long! thank you :)

I tried modifying the weapons, but not with defense marquise crystals, I will try what you suggested! thanks :)
