2nd one, the mask in the first one is really stark, with the 2nd one it feels like its on the same level/plane as everything else. you don't need to rate my av i'm just puttin in my input
I may not need to rate your avie but I feel compelled to point out how good of a job you did with yours. Very nice and classy! As for your criticisms: I see what you mean though I felt the second mask gave my dragon more expression and was tied in with the wings and armor.
Thank you! ^^ Do you guys think I should keep the overlay and fire? Here's what it looks like w/o: Private Outfit
ahh thank you! I love my demon aesthetic, hahah.
I do see what you mean about trying to be more expressive, but sadly the starker lines just draw attention to the fact that its a mask, not eye crests, sadly. Maybe if it had thinner lineart.
And personally, I think they both look good, with or without the overlay- its just up to if you want ambiance and glow to them. :)
A fair criticism, to be sure. Sadly, I ran into that problem a LOT while designing this beast. Either items have really thick lines or their detailing didn't match up with my color scheme. As for the glow: I'm divided. I worry I make my avatars too busy and/or dark.
The glow certainly gives your avatar depth- his wings seem further back from his body, for example, giving the illusion that they're larger/stretched out slightly. I'm always a fan of the fade illusion and its tricky to pull off, but you did it.
I've seen busier HAs too, so I don't think you have a problem- it's all about personal preference, but I think it looks rad af personally
Yeah and I also felt it brightened up the avie a bit. Thank you so much, you've been a great help! ^^
not a problem, have a wonderful day!
