I've been around for awhile, on and off, and enjoy battling, but still have questions about it. -I do battle quests daily, and know that grinding will also help me earn XP, but my question is -- to what degree? Is there a point where it is no longer worth the effort? Does it stop awarding XP after 10 wins? -Does profit come from chasing after specific loot items to earn? (i.e., fancy stuff you get at 500 wins or whatnot) -I'm raising a second battle pet because I want to -- but is it worth it to invest more in one pet later on? Are there significant benefits to multiple battle pets? -Is a battle pet particularly helpful/lucrative to have for certain events, or is it more of a general year round sort of thing?

Sorry I have so many questions, it's just a lot I'm trying to wrap my head around. I'm definitely going to do this for fun, whether it's a money sink or source of income, I just want to know what specific things a battle pet will be helpful for.

  • The battle quest is your friend, do it daily to hoard XP. You won't stop getting XP after the 10th win because those battles are out of the count, they are not cumulative.
  • Battle is rarely about profit, I don't think you'll ever back what you spent. It's really nice getting fancy loots at 500th wins but the training and weapons required for that is of higher value than the prize itself.
  • I can't answer about multiple battle pets as I don't do that, but I believe it is a popular practice.
  • Again you won't get profits with battle. It's certar helpful in plots and site events, specially for the achievements, its just a good idea in general to have a battle pet.

I'm not nearly as experienced as other battlers here but I wanted to give my insight. :) I recomendo you wait for more replies, they will probably be more complete haha. Good luck training!

Honestly one of the ONLY times battling is profitable is if you have a second pet, or a small army. The most profitable loot drops are weapons, books, and EXP items. Since you'll want to keep the weapon the first time, you won't sell it for a profit, but once you win a second you can sell it. The books you'll want for your pets and the EXP items you'll want for your pet to train them up.

Sometimes for the hardest opponents, wearable loot is profitable, but there's usually a time limit to how long it stays profitable. For example, the cowl dropped by Devora was worth 50 mil the first Morostide it was around. But since it's been dropping steadily since, it's now down to 2.5 mil. Beanbags, plushies, and minions can be hit or miss.

Battling is not a lucrative hobby. The best loot to sell is earned by having a high tier battle pet with good weapons and scrolls. However, you will spend billions of sP In order to get high tier weapons, scrolls and battle stats. You could sell off duplicate loot if you have multiple high tier battle pets, but unless you are only raising pet stats through free daily boosters and exp, you will still spend millions of sP training up stats.

I train and battle with multiple pets because battling is what I like to do on Subeta. Any loot I resell winds up going back into training my pets or upgrading my weapons/scrolls.

A delayed thank-you to all of you! This gives me a reasonable idea of what to expect. I'm definitely going to continue to enjoy battling, I'll just have to dogear a lot of funds for it, haha
