It's supposed to start today but there are too many problems with the site. People's items are vanishing etc.
I really don't want to risk spending CSC on items from the Cash Shop in case my currency is taken without getting the items or the items disappear when I try to put them in my wardrobe, a gallery or a pet treasure. I'm guessing others will feel the same
Agreed. I'd much rather wait for the site to become more stable than to risk items and currencies purchased with users' actual money.
Agreed... since the downtime there have been a bunch of site issues, not just items disappearing.
Would be much happier to wait for the site to be more stable, the sale would probably just cause more problems..
Given I'm terrified to put anything into the site, touch my HA or mess with much of anything because of the slew of bugs and vanishing items, agreed.

While I am super hyped for the sale, postponing it is probably for the best. There should probably be an anouncement in order not to confuse users who haven't noticed the instability yet.

With the site acting up, it's not a good idea to get people to use real money to buy CSC, in case things turn sour
I also support this. I'm not interested in buying anything in the sale until I can do it without fearing my csc and items will float off into the ether.
And I'm more than sure Staff is working their hardest to fix stuff, but I do think an update through site update or the news would be a good idea, even if it's just a "We're working our hardest" and letting people know the situation for now.
I'm adding my voice to this. The CW I submitted and had approved was unlimited. I have my copy, but the remainder have just vanished. I'm not the only one.
I don't feel safe paying for anything else. I'm half tempted to cancel the other two items that are in the queue because I don't want this to happen with them.
I was really excited for the sale and special new releases for it, but now I'm just filled with anxiety about it all.
Could we maybe get a news post saying that for people who don’t check this thread?

This is a good idea. Just the other day I had to open a ticket (which was speedily and gracefully resolved, thank you ) because an item I received through the gift centre never showed up in my invo at all. I was just grateful my friend did send it through the gift centre so I didn't have to find circumstantial evidence that I was supposed to have it, like smails or comments--it was easy for the staffer to see that I'd been sent the item.
(Sending items through the gift centre does cost a little bit of sp--and I haven't always done so because I don't get scammed that way, seeing as how I never send items to people I don't know unless it's my own idea--but I'm going to use it from now on because of the backup being easy for staffers to find should something go wrong, especially since when I do spontaneously send items, it's often following overhearing on Discord that one of my trusted friends hasn't managed to bag a holiday item I'm drowning in.)
