Lost an item tossing it into the bonfire

I know you can lose items in the fire but this doesn't seem to be the usual way to lose something.

I tossed something in. It was accepted, then got this

instead of my kiss/prize.
Me also.. decided not to throw anything else in. :(

This error seems to be happening instead of getting a kiss. I'm working on a fix :)
