I don't want to share the name here, but I just looked up a pet to find "no such pet exists". Brilliant, it's a name I want!

Go to create and get told somebody already has that pet name. Look again, both through direct URL, and a site search. No such pet.

Edit: The name was Gruffydd, which I am now comfortable sharing as an experiment in changing a random pet from the AC's name to Gruffydd was a success.

A waste of 500 CSC though... And still some manner of bug prevented me from just creating him.

I have the exact same problem, tried with different names which do not appear in the search and cannot create a new pet.

Oh no! Someone already owns xxx, sorry!

I have the same problem!

I asked a friend of mine to see if making a pet with my desired name would work for them too. They also could not create a pet with said name. Weird, huh?

Edit: One hour after posting this, I was finally able to create my pet.

I managed to create my new pet by using the back button and trying again and again. It took about 10 goes before it finally worked.

I tried multiple times with trying to make it yesterday with no luck...and today again...having issues...I will try some of the methods people are using on here but its still busted :(

I was able to get through it by clicking "Create Pet" like crazy all at once. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

I got it to work the next morning using my phone rather than my PC. The first attempt did send the error but the second time got accepted and I was able to create my pet.

I just had this problem as well. The name was on an inactive account. I doubled checked after getting the error and the inactive account then had the pet name with numbers after it. The non numbered name didn't exist at all.

I ended up able to create after spam clicking the create pet button. At least it didn't seem to create a bunch of ghost pets. I checked the numbers before my pet.

I was able to create a pet first try yesterday.
