I am pretty sure the achievement still exists for deleting an ether, which helps get sP out of the economy.

But why not just wildly high delete # of items achievements? Start with 1, go up to 50k or something.

!bwuh? Having more and different Achievements might be fun, but I don't think it's in Subeta's or users' interest to increase inflation.

Destroying an Ether causes deflation not because the item is being deleted but because it costs a ton of sP that the user pays directly to Subeta and those sP that are paid get destroyed. Deleting random items causes there to be less items but many of those items cost nothing and were granted from quests or vending or they were restocked from official shops at a fraction of their worth. This causes inflation.

We already have the pumpkin deleter achievement which sucks big time - I don't care what items we'd be deleting, just having deleted 1000 pumpkins I know how it feels and I simply don't need that kind of frustration and strain.

We have fragging and recycle beast to get items out of the "economy."

I don't mind the existing Ether deleting, because its a single item. Sure it takes time to earn 400M, but in the process you can be working on your shop till achievements, and also buying the ether helps with the millionaire center achievements, so it doesn't feel all useless. Deleting 50K items just for an achievement, would feel useless and frustrating.

No support. The primary "delete" achievements current exist to get holiday fodder out of the economy (pumpkins, fairies). So, they serve a purpose in the holiday. They're also massively annoying to complete.

There are already other avenues to get items out of circulation.

A larger, open-ended "delete" achievement serves nothing to the users and nothing to the economy.

the only way I would ever support this is if we could hoard 50k cheap items, hit delete and then hold f5 for 5 minutes to complete it.

If thats not going to happen, then this achievement shouldn't happen.
