Let's share stories of us getting frustrated trying to preorder stuff!

I finally got enough money tonight to order the limited-edition Let's Go Eevee Switch bundle, and now I can't find any copies available anywhere. I checked every electronics retailer I could think of (including Walmart, Amazon, Gamestop, Target, and Best Buy), and nowhere has any left.

Ohmigosh I am SO frustrated with preorders right now!

I love PSVR. Thought a Tetris game would be cool to see in VR, but ultimately nothing special. And then shortly before E3, Tetris Effect gets announced. A VR Tetris game DEVELOPED BY ENHANCE.

These guys have wanted to make a Tetris game for some time, but couldn't get the license (so they made Lumines). I love Lumines. I love Rez, another one of their games which came to VR as Rez Infinite. To see they got the license to not only make a Tetris game, but a VR TETRIS GAME is crazy exciting for me! ;o;

On 9th October, Enhance games tweeted details about the release date, and a physical edition is coming. Up for preorder now. Awesome!

But since then, I've not found ANY trace of physical edition for EU region. I've checked GAME, Amazon, and other major UK retailers. I'm trying to get a copy through an independent retailer who has been very good to me. He's got orders in place, should it finally become available, but neither of us have heard any good news. :(

I've tweeted Enhance several times trying to find out what's going on. They say they're looking into it, and trying to sort things out with their EU partners. And I appreciate them getting back to me, but as release day draws closer, I'm getting more and more frustrated with the lack of information.

A demo is due out today. The game comes out 9th November. There is STILL no news on the physical release for EU region. My hype for this game is slowly dying. T_T

Will I still get it? Probably. I'm going to wait until the day before release to grab some PSN credit and get the digital version. It's got some cool preorder bonuses I don't want to miss out on, but if there's still a chance of that physical copy getting into my hands, I don't want to risk missing out. I just wish they'd all get their shit together and tell us what's going on!

I tried to pre-order Breath of the Wild on Amazon for Wii U (I couldn't afford a Switch at the time). I was so excited and was eagerly watching the dispatch info... it turns out they took more preorders than they could fulfil and I eventually got an email to say that my game would take at least a month if I wanted a physical copy or I could download it.

I'm an old school kind of gamer in so far that I prefer the physical copies if I can get them, so I was pretty annoyed. I did end up buying a copy of the game from a shop on the high street of the town I live in (which was pretty amazing as my home town is rather small and rural). Amazon did send me a £5 voucher to make up for it though, so that was nice. But I do remember being very frustrated and worried that I would miss out on the game for a month.

Did you try the Pokemon Center site directly? That's where I ordered my Let's Go Eevee bundle. Of course, I already have a red and blue switch, I don't know if you're getting the actual switch with the pikachu and eevee decals on it. The bundle I got comes with the game and the pokeball plus thing. I get a free bonus eevee keychain with my purchase. I hope that helps.

I'd love to add you when you get your switch and the game if you want! I just made a thread about swapping friend codes for it. I'm also getting Smash Ultimate!

When I checked Pokemon Center last, they were completely out too. I had checked for the Switch bundles on Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, Newegg, Best Buy, Target, Pokemon Center, and even Circuit City and Radio Shack out of mad desperation. I heard there was a new wave of copies made available recently, but by that time I had already given up on getting it and had started spending what little money I had saved up. No Pikachu/Eevee Switch bundle for me... :'( I just hope they release a Pokemon-edition Switch for the gen 8 games, because at this point that's my only hope to have a Pokemon-themed Switch.

I have a simple red and blue themed switch. You could always get a pokemon skin to put on it you know <3 I don't think it's entirely worth getting a switch with decals already on it. It's worth it to have one with two colors like red and blue (so you can know at a glance that it's upside down if you go to pick it up) but I wouldn't worry necessarily about getting a specially decal'd one unless you want to try reselling it later or something. Good luck though, and look around in your local stores after Let's Go comes out. Chances are you'll find a themed one right in the store available if you want one, still, and even if you've spent some of what you've saved, you could potentially get them to hold it for you or something. Just to add more frustration to my Tetris Effect woes, a physical edition WAS released in the UK. About a month after the game came out digitally and (in some regions) on disc.

I preordered the digital version in the end. Demo was amazing. Couldn't wait around to see if a physical would eventually emerge. Annoying thing is that the physical is about £5 cheaper. I'd say it was worth the price I paid, but damn if I knew I could have gotten a disc copy, saved money, AND supported my favourite local business? I might have waited.
