I was just thinking that it might be nice to have a similar option for the monthly collections as we have for the Delish sets. If we really like a theme one month, it would be cool to have a "purchase all items" option at a slight discount, similar to what is in place for the boutique sets. I'm not sure how difficult that would be to implement, though, especially with the older monthly collections?

I'm not really in favor of this. We've had what, like 12 years of collections now? I'm not totally behind adding discounts suddenly after that much time since they can't really be retroactive, and even if they did apply to the old collections going forward from this point, I'm not sure they'd really even be worth it?

I did some math using the as an example. The newest combined Delish sets have about a 40% discount on them if my math is right. If you applied the same discount to the collections (which seems extraordinarily high considering they don't even put the collections on sale for Black Friday, but bear with me), you'd be saving yourself less than the equivalent of 100 CSC compared to the Shop Search prices for the October 2006 items, plus getting stuck with 11 items, some of which you may not want or need and having to resell them. Note that this includes a 95m minion, which I'm going to go out on a limb and say probably doesn't often sell at that price (and also the non-combined Delish sets have lower percentage discounts on them, but it varies a bit depending on the number of items available)

Granted, the older collection items vary wildly in price and there are a lot of cheaper ones too (the three cheapest from '06 are all under 1m on the SS). You'd save quite a bit on the October 2017 Collection items because there are almost none of them in shops, and the collection itself is priced at 55m currently.

tl;dr I guess is that I'm not a big fan, but if staff were willing (and I don't think they are) I wouldn't exactly complain either, all things considered.

If it's done right, it can be a nice idea, actually. I'm actually surprise that the monthly collection never became a full page like Delish and the Trunks.. the collections are the last fossil of the old Cash Shop..

That would be swell! It doesn't have to apply to the old donation presents, but once they become collections instead of DPs their value goes way up. People can still individually buy DPs as needed since they're all "discounted" anyway with having cheaper items.

It wouldn't be mandatory, of course. If you only wanted to purchase one or two items from the collection, then you wouldn't have to choose the "buy all" option. I was just thinking it might be nice for when all the items fit a theme you like. For example, I try to collect bird stuff for my one gallery. So the option to purchase all the items in, say the for a tiny discount would have been nice. :) I was thinking of it from that standpoint, though. I admit I wasn't thinking about whether it would mess up the economy or not. =X It also wouldn't have to apply to old donation presents, only collections.

But I see no point in making it apply to all the old collections. You get the discount only if you buy all the current month collection, all at once and it shouldn't be much.
