It's a new magical girl series and its going to be on Netflix!

I'm excited! I've watched a few episodes of the original 80s show.

I never watched the original, but I ADORE the reboot! It is FANTASTIC! Have you seen it yet? What do you think about it? I want to really get into the fandom for this. Make amv's, draw pictures, maybe even rp it! I just love all of it, it was wonderfully written and all my gal pals can't stop talking about how great it is!

I watched it, loved it. Maybe Entrapta was too selfish and unwise for my liking. I want more.

I've been mostly avoiding the fandom because I'm too old and wouldn't fit in. Being in a space full of teens is a little anxiety-inducing :/

People are saying Entrapta is likely either autistic or ADHD, and because the writers for the show are progressive and indeed trying to include more representation, this actually seems like a plausible theory and not just wishful thinking from the fandom! She has a hyper fixation on experimenting and building things, she is hyper active, and she doesn't know how to properly interact with other people and these are all strong signs of a disorder. This might be confirmed later so be on the lookout. This would definitely explain why she was selfish and unwise though--because she's a little trapped in her own bubble and doesn't know how to interact properly with others. As someone with ADHD and many autistic friends, I think this isn't a bad or offensive portrayal. Given that all the characters are teenage in this series, it's actually extremely realistic, even in how other characters treat her--getting annoyed or frustrated because they don't know how to deal with someone like that. As we learn more about Entrapta we'll probably have characters learning how to understand her better (and possibly, her understanding them better too and coming out of her fixation to become more outwardly focused on others, maybe) and it'll be a learning opportunity for the characters in the show as well as the audience, who may recognize people like her in their own life.

I'm 26! I don't care how old you are, I won't judge. My mother is 66 and she's watching it with me and loving it. People are becoming much more accepting today of adults appreciating the same media as children,and while it can feel anxiety-inducing or weird to interact with teenagers online in the fandom, as long as you are respectful of their age and don't get into anything illegal, it should be okay to talk about your enjoyment of the show and interact with people of all ages who like it. Also! Adults make these kinds of shows, so of course adults can enjoy them <3 The only qualification you need to fit in, is to also enjoy the show. Don't be afraid to draw or swap theories and stuff!

YES???? Im pretty sure she-ra is my new favorite thing to ever have existed. i'm a pretty huge steven universe fan and i have been very excited to see how shows like that, adventure time etc. have been influencing new creators, and she-ra is a wonderful example of how good and amazing cartoons these days are!!

there are loads of adults into this show! I'm 27 and all my late-20s friends are also watching it :) of course there's lots of kids watchin it too, but there's lots of places online where adults are talking about it too! i know what you mean though, it's weird being an adult of any age and being interested in the same things as Kids These Days :P but great storytelling isn't just for kids, it's for everybody!

im also pretty bummed about entrapta, but i don't think she meant to be selfish at all. she's been kind of oblivious to what's going on in the outside world, and she really thought her friends weren't coming back for her. and Catra manipulated her really skillfully, playing on her insecurities about her friends as well as her special interests. but I don't think entrapta is going to wind up on the 'bad' side, I think the rebellion will probably get her back once they realize she's alive and well!
