Nobody else is starting these? Holiday season is coming up so I think now's a good time for all of us users who have an opinion or a wish to start to make any Suggestions for Luminaire 2018. This will give artists and coders time to work on things.

My own suggestion that I could think of that I want to see is for there to be edible flavored snowflakes. If they're Melody Gifts each with its own pattern so that they are also TC-worthy. Otherwise with mild color changes different flavors of the same image could be in Icy Goods as a new edible release.

Anyways, if anyone else has any ideas, post away!

-we could do with some items themed after activities that are wintery but not cristmas themed: (skiing, snow shoveling, ice fishing, dog sledding)

As I did in the fireside suggestions, here are some worldwide winter holidays (thank you wikipedia list of events and festivals)

• winter solstice (dec 21) -Yaldā Night Iranian/persian : people stay up all night and recite poetry, eat pomegranate and watermelon because color of sunrise

-Dec 5/6/19 saint nicolas day cristian holiday EU -in west EU it is a evening of gift giving, among adults it is not unusual to have a secret santa like gift exchange with handmade unusual looking or boobytrapped gift packaging XXXXX -Holiday specific candies include Solid chocolate letters (traditional to give a person the first letter of their name), marzipan (shaped like fruits/spheres covered in cocoa powder/bars covered in chocolate), bags of pepernoten often intermixed with gumdrops and sugar hearts or covered with chocolate (it is traditional in holland for the servants of sinterklaas to throw handfulls to children).

-Saturnalia ancient Roman dec 17-23 -festival overturned Roman social norms for a couple days (gambling was permitted, masters served their slaves, people tried to gain favor with gods outside the roman pantheon) -public banquets

edit1: -snow covered foliage (firs, bare branches, snowy hedge maze) -winter blooming flowers (snowdrop, winter jasmine, christmas rose, witch hazel)

maybe not for the holidays but for the rest of the winter season -handheld snow shovels -bags of road salt -space heaters -hand warmers

All I want for lumi is the ability to disable tree gifting. Pretty please? 8D

More snowmen. Not really pet-shaped ones just more traditional ones would be lovely.

Wearable Snow Fairies. Like each color could have a different pose. It would be cute!

I really hope the number of foreground and background items being released during holidays this year continues. I love the ones I can layer to create depth and scene.
Maybe a coal mine or bury the avie in coal I just love the coal wearbles. A coal car.
Cuddly held items plushies or a blanket that modifies the arms like A theme around christmas lights or candles. Candles would be beautiful. More wearable food items like so I can have my avie eating holiday foods from around the world, ours or subeta's. Just more food wearbles in general would be nice especially ones that modify the arms like . Maybe if the items were carried on a serving tray or held in a napkin it could be angled to cover the straight arm or arms and modify their position.

I would like to see more backdrops specifically of winter scenes, Lumi trees, etc.

I would like to see more Darkheart content.. and to finally bring Liara to life..

If we get backdrops or partial background items of Luminaire trees, I think it would be cool to include some of the ones from the different lands. Like a wearable version of the trees we get to decorate.

That's a brilliant idea! I'd like to have a set of Lumi trees from Shengui or Saherimos, too! :D

I always love dressing my HA up in warm cozy clothes at Lumi time, so I'd love to see more of those. Perhaps more indoor-appropriate cozy clothing would be nice, since we have so many beautiful scarves and things. I really enjoyed the Cocoa Gift items from last year, but maybe some fluffy PJ bottoms, warm blankets, and stuff like that could be added to go with them? I don't think we have too many PJ items.

Oh, and plaid shirts! You can never go wrong with ANYTHING plaid.

Oh, that's true! We've got lanterns and sushi ornaments, but no Shengui painted balls! Those clothing items you're suggesting are perfect for a mori-themed HA! I agree with your suggestion!

I also would really just like more general wintery stuff especially more winter sports stuff.

More international food would be great too.

Let us decorate a tree! Without accepting gifts! PLEASE

I don't even understand why this hasn't been added as a feature yet. I feel obligated to accept gifts, regardless of how they make me feel. Why can't I make my tree without getting gifts? Some people will not read any form of warning on your profile either. Removing your tree can't prevent gifting either. This isn't about being triggered for being 'snowballed'. It's a simple and respectful gesture that should be added.

I agree. A few years ago there was a glitch where some users ended up with every tree gift duplicated and we had to delete the duplicates. It was a lot of work and it put me off doing much on the tree gifting side of things since then. Even though I rarely post in the Gift The Tree Above topics I always end up with more gifts than I send to others and I feel awful about it.

I don't know how disabling the tree gifting on our profiles would affect getting gifts from the SubetaTream but I'd happily go without if it did.

I wouldn't mind seeing how each land celebrates Luminaire outside of the trees, kind of how the holidays are different across the world. Like maybe in the Veta they do something similar to burn a straw goat in Sweden as a wearable, instead of a technical display of lights that Ziana would have (could also be wearable or toy for pet). Just an idea though. Got some ideas from here

Would love backgrounds for the trees!! Also, more items to bake!!! And more blob kitty items.
