Pete seems to be capable of appreciating - relishing, even - food that is not generally recommended for consumption by living humans (poison, excrement, putrefying flesh, etc.)

i cannot help but wonder: did Pete have to intentionally condition his body and mind to accept these kinds of foods? or was he simply born with a strong stomach and a weak gag reflex? either way, i am in awe of this man. his understanding of flavor is clearly far deeper than i could possibly comprehend
