Was watching the latest remake of Disney's "Jungle Book" and had a thought about the poem "Law for Wolves"...

What if the Ravagers had a similar code? Other than "you don't steal from us", I mean. Now, full disclosure, my only knowledge about "GotG" and the Ravagers come 100% from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but... darn if Michael Rooker doesn't just make me want to watch an entire spin-off series that focuses exclusively on a fun little ragtag band of Ravagers.

Anyways, I thought I'd just share where that thought process took me:

Th' Law fer th' Ravagers Also known as: The Law of Space (As told by the brilliant Captain Yondu Udonta, to his stupid lil'Terran brat t'git him t'shape up right an' proper) (with humorously posthumous apologies to Rudyard Kipling)

Now, this is th' law of space, as old an' as tough as scarred meat, And th' Ravager that keeps to it may prosper, but may th' one that breaks lose his seat.

As th' jumps that spans the whole universe, forward an' back this law does ran; For th' strength of th' clan is th' Ravager, and th' strength of th' Ravager's th' clan.

Judge not of a species, from fin tip to tail tip; drink deeply, but never too deep; An' remember that ports are fer huntin' an' don't forget solars recharge durin' sleep.

Them Nova Corps may protect th' Collectors, but, boy, when yer self is done grown, Remember all Ravagers are hunters, so go forth an' go steal on yer own.

Keep peace with them lords of th' stars: th' Celestials, th' Watchers that stare; An' trouble not Stan Lee 'cross th' dimensions, an' mock not Thanos in his lair.

When clan meets with clan in th' space ports, an' neither will back off from a trail, Stand down til' th' Captains have spoken; it may be tricky words that prevail.

When ye fight with th' other clan, yer gonna fight alone an' off-far, Lest others take part in yer dumb quarrel an' both clans are diminished by war.

Th' ship of th' Ravager is his refuge, an' where he has made him his home, Not even th' Admiral may enter, not even th' council may come.

Th' ship of th' Ravager is his refuge, but where he has marked it too plain, Th' council shall send him a message, and so he shall tag it again.

If yer celebratin' yer steal before fleeing, then be comm-silent an' wake not th' corps with your cheers, Lest ye frighten off targets from th' masses an' git yer brothers imprisoned fer years.

Ye may steal fer yer'selves, an' yer mates, an' yer clan as they need an' as best y’ can; But don't go off killin' fer pleasure of killin', an' never -- don't you ever -- steal from th' clan.

Th' theft fer th' clan is fer all of th' clan. Y’ devy it up where it’s safe; An' no one may carry extra portions away, lest he dares risks exposure in space.

Th' theft fer th' clan is fer all of th' clan an' each may do what he will, But, till Captain has given permission, the' clan may not plan out what they’ll steal.

If ye mutiny 'gainst yer leader, exile not all his followers in one stride, Th' seat of the Captain is th' right of th' meanest; so leave him his head an' his pride.

Because of his age an' his cunning, because of his gripe an' his maw, In all of th' loopholes left open, th' word of th' Captain is law.

Now these are th' laws of th' Ravager, an' many an' mighty are they; But if y’git just one thing thru yer thick head, then all y’gotta know is: obey!
