People on tumblr were posting a lot on this anime at one time so I thought I'd check to see what all the gif sets were about. I was more than pleasantly surprised.

Another anime that completely took me by surprise was Gun X Sword. I was expecting some cowboy samurai stuff and then giant robots out of nowhere. Aaaaand then.... there was strike whitches..... Did not get through the first episode before nopeing out of there. Alternate universe WWII sounded like an interesting concept.

Anyways, were there anime that you watched expecting something but getting something completely different?
