To take my mind away from grief about Karen's passing. I thought I'll share some things that has sent me over the years. Hopefully you'll also find it interesting. Enjoy! :)

Thank you! AeriaLure did the art. :) He-man has been gone for a while now, unfortunately. He-man had a ton of health problems. Most expensive pet ever, and totally worth every penny. I&;m still paying off that debt 4 years later and don&;t regret it. He was 12 when I had to let him go. I have Hercules as a stand-in.</p>

<p>Baby actually went up for adoption for a few days and my mom went and got her back for me. I&;ve had hundreds of fosters come and go, and some of them really stick with you. I had a second foster that came shortly after I got Baby and named him Rufio, after the leader of the lost boys in Peter Pan. He&;s one of my biggest heart losses from fostering.

<p>My next CW will be Tommy/Tummy/Tumby/Tumblies/Tumbywumbums/etcetcetc. He&;s my other kitty.
His name started out being Tom Cat, then Tommy, but... all he cares about is his Tummy. :)
The other variations come from him being super adorable. He isn&;t the normal idea of adorable, and was actually a foster I had that the shelter was going to put down as unadoptable so he stayed with me.
Tumblies came from a hoarder house where there were 27-28(heard different from different people) cats. All but 2 of them were immediately put down. Tummy is one of the survivors. He was not at all socialized and has a lot of skin issues. Frostbite has left black marks in his skin all over, he had an ear torn and curled in a fight - the other ear has a couple shreds in it - he&;s overgroomed areas so much that he has semi-baldy patches, and he had a tooth abscess that cost me $400 to fix after adoption. Reality is that there are many adoptable, friendly, beautiful, amazing animals put down every minute of every day because there are not enough homes. So, one that takes so much extra effort is not usually something that there is time/money/space to consider.

I&;m dealing with a sick cat. :/ Heading to the vet when they open. He&;s been throwing up for the last few hours.
Tummy is actually doing a lot better, thanks! He got fluids and meds to help with nausea.</p>
<p>The kitty that my pet, Kanga, was named after had to be put down today. :(
I get his ashes back Tuesday or Wednesday. ❤</p>
<p>I went to a community rummage sale on Saturday morning. I found a farmer&;s handwritten journal from 1861. I&;m in love with it. He has a couple of newspaper articles inside, including one from 1857 about how to "cure felons". ;)</p>
<p>I wish I could read the name of the farmer. The first name is John, but the last name is impossible for me.

<p>I lit my tree on fire the first year they were introduced. 😛 In real life, I always have a gigantic tree that takes up half the room and touches the ceiling, though! Even though my kittens are excellent at getting into it...

<p>It was only a few years ago that my pet rats were in the tree every chance they got. At least kittens are bigger and easier to grab!

<p>I had Pinky and Brain, but Brain passed away without warning. I ended up getting Willie and Alvin to keep Pinky company, but all of them liked keeping company with the cats as much as each other. Pinky was a tiny terror, though. He used to steal our old dog&;s treats and bring them back to his house with him, or lounge in the dog&;s bed. Keep in mind this was a 120lb German Shepherd mix vs a rat. 😊</p>

omg may she rest in peace, I didn't know I'm crying I didn't know Karen so well but we talked a lot during the years, she was always nice to me and lovely.

That's sad news about Karen :( We talked in the BC forums at times. She will be missed by her friends here

May she rest in peace. I never knew her personally but I had seen her in the forums, spoke to her once or twice. She was a very nice person!

Thank you and It's a huge loss to everyone. I wished it could have turned out better, but sometimes you just don't know. There are so many countless lost opportunities to be had. RIP Karen.

because she was shy, I don't think as many people got to know her, but I think anyone who was touched by her kindness could see what a caring person she was. If only things could/would have turned out better.... Now all we can do is miss her.

she is to be revered as one of the most Generous Gentle and Giving people here..she gave freely to her friends and lil furry friends as well
if they were lost she gave solace. if they were hurting .. she would give them hope if they were angered she gave them peace if they needed LOVE she gave it freely.
philanthropist to all in need to all in joy to anyone with a hand or paw out
she would take it and fill it up tenfold.
we now needto look closely at each other and truely appreciate the
friendships we all have and make here..
they are truly beauty untethered.

Thank you for doing this, I learned of her passing and didn't know who to speak to about her being remembered on the site. Got to know her fairly well and just enjoyed her immensely. She was so sweet and with such a big heart. It is so sad when a young life such as hers is taken from us. But I am thankful that she is not suffering anymore.

well i did it i saw the pictures of lil baby her kitten and made a pet thaat is hers with her kittens name..the nostalgic tigerian named Baby K
i will think of her everyday now as i look at my lil pets...i will give him treasures of kittens and puppies..god bless her family and friends where they are in wisconis, that is where i grew up..south of her though in oconomowoc WI.
