Hey all. So I'm trying to singlehandedly learn how to do CSS coding for custom layouts and profiles, etc. Problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing. I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio to help get me started but I'm just lost. Can anyone give me advice on where to start? I followed a tutorial I found for custom CSS for Subeta but that tutorial required experience in coding, which I do not have. TIA!

have you taken a look at websites such as w3schools? unfortunately i've just picked up my knowledge of it throughout the years, otherwise i'd probably be able to help you more. also, to get more accustomed to the design the css modifies, you can take a free profile code and mess around with it to see what you can accomplish. but there's lots of free websites available to help you out!

Yes! I actually have their website bookmarked on my toolbar! c:

Now I'm wondering what dimensions to make a user profile in my design program... what do you suggest?

it depends on what you want it to look like i guess! the image i use on my profile is 1366 by 635, but the way it's gonna show up is also dependent on your monitor and whatnot. if you're worried about how it's gonna show up on everyone else's screens, you can always opt to make a profile with a solid color background and then ALSO make that color as the background of the page.
