Ik had forgotten about a few name clearings until just now...One I would had liked to have was taken sadly and the one I wanted to have...was still there waiting for me! (Not sure how because he's quite a populair character).

So now I'm the happy owner of Barnes! Which is the last name of my fanpet Bucky and now I can finally do the idea's I planned to do years ago :)

Had anyone else got lucky too?

I've never snagged a name. I will usually check during pet creation and even if the name I looked up is clearing soon, I don't bother noting it because I'll just forget. Just pick a different name and stick with it.

I've gotten some names here and there (most of them weren't like, highly sought after lol) but there was one I was incredibly happy to get at least a few years ago: Chili. This is the name of my late dog.

When I first joined Subeta 11 years ago, it was the name I absolutely wanted the most, but someone already had it. Later on, I checked on it again and found out that it had cleared but someone already claimed it. I was really bummed (didn't know name clearings were a thing at the time) but figured I'd keep a look out from then on, just in case. A couple years later, I found out that the name could clear in potentially seven months. Those seven months passed by and I was finally able to grab the name myself! It's so rewarding to finally have her in my pet fam now.

Congrats on getting the name you wanted, though sorry about missing the other one. I hate when that happens. :(

I was fortunate with Fearsome so I'm very thankful.
