This message on top of some profiles make me really sad. I didn't even know what the word "deceased" means, till I was looking for some pet names and stumbled upon on of this accounts and googled the word.
My question is, where does Subeta know, that the user is deceased?
Normally the friends of that user find out from family and they notify staff through a ticket. Or sometimes family members will log onto the deceased users account and notify staff.
Yes, we are generally notified by friends and/or family, and there is a bit of a verification process. Once a site member's passing is confirmed after someone has requested that an account be memorialized, we do so. The profile is given the "deceased user" informational tag, and the account's username is saved from ever being put back into circulation on another account.
