Summer Event... Maybe?

So as the days trickle down and summer inches it's way closer to the end, the excitement for a summer event kinda fades as time passes. Anyone hoping we get something soon?
Perhaps anyone feel if all else fails then we get an old event to return, like the Cruise?
Then again maybe Staff have plans but have to keep on the hush hush until it's time to reveal things? Possible.
I am on vacation at the moment so I would definitely be ready for an event (even a simple Quest-A-Thon would make my day because PET SLOT) but tbh I kinda lost hope for anything before Keelhauliday (?) now that Neugarten (or whatever my new least favorite "event" is being called now) has been pushed into summer time.
(Which is not saying I'm not open for a surprise.)
i kinda want another quest-a-thon because i'd kill for more pet slots but at the same time?? morale was pretty low for the last one and i think most people are sick of them by now ;;
but MAN i'd love some other summer event!! especially if it gives us a pet slot e u e i wasn't around for the cruise but i've seen people talk about it and it sounds like fun!!
Since all we got last year was a mish-mash of smaller events rather than one bigger thing (food trucks, gellies, two quest-a-thons, and I think there was a contest in there), I'm not holding out much hope. Although, that Saggi and Blake Omen Islands item sink plot from two years ago happened in September, so there's still some time for me to not be disappointed.
I'm also not falling over myself at the prospect of another quest-a-thon. For the people who do all the quests every day it's nothing special, and for those who don't, it's kind of a drag. I do appreciate the boost to my shop sales that they bring, but I think the shine has rather worn off.
I'd be all for another Quest-a-Thon if they offered other prizes besides just pet slots. Give us tiered prizes .... that would be nice. Then if you didn't want a pet slot you could stop and those who want the pet slots could keep going. I dunno how feasible it is but yeah. Besides I enjoy the quest-a-thons more when we have them entire weekend quest set up. Yeah it's not wise but those times I do all my quests ASAP. But I'm itching for something, anything at this point to do on site during the day to keep my attention.
I really want a Morostide plot part 2. It probably won't happen this year but each day without an event is another glimmer of hope
I'm all in favor of alternating events. I think it'd help keep people interested in the site, certainly.
Yeah, there are at least a couple of events that could use continuations. Ian and Jaxon Morostide event, the Underground/Survival event or story (maybe?), and of course the most recent Omen Islands event with Blake that ended in Merana being freed.
It does feel like it's been a while since we've had a big plot/event with multiple steps and a story line and everything, so I'd definitely like to see something like that hopefully soon. The annual events are fun, but even those get a bit repetitive after a while basically just "do thing, get points/items, repeat".
A special event of some sort would add a nice bit of variety.
I'm kinda losing hope for an Event or a plot for this summer... :(
I'm not too optimistic, either (I rarely am, but that's by the by). KH is a month away, and we're still waiting on the quest-a-thon that's been promised to happen this summer. There's not much time for anything else.
I believe they just vaguely said a Quest-A-Thon is going to happen "sometime this year". ;o;

I thought I'd seen some official mention of it being this summer, but who knows? It's been talked about in a few places over the past few months. Subeta promises aren't exactly concrete, anyway.
Other users have been mentioning a quest-a-thon in summer because that's when they've tended to be in the past, but staff have not confirmed exactly when it would be. Just that we would get one eventually.
I think it would also make sense to have one during holiday time since doing quests doesn't usually take that much time, you only need to do one quest to count as having participated, and there are more users online during holidays so we meet the goal a bit easier.
Pretty sure we've had one during Luminaire or something before anyway, so we'll see what happens.
Fair enough. I probably just assumed it would be in the summer since we've not had much in way of events yet and I expected it would be something to fill the gap.
