I have seen that you may randomly pull them from the bathhouse pools but is there any other way? Seems like an incredibly slow-going feature if that is the only way.

yes that is the only way. It was intended this way so the items would retain value.

if you go every day, you can get 5 tokens every 30 days. The bath tokens are NOT random, they trigger on specific days of the 30 day cycle.

Sometimes during Quest-a-thons the prizes that are given out tend to be random currencies, which have included 5 bathhouse tokens. But that happens only when the mini event goes on and it's not always going to be bathhouse tokens.

Besides if you stick with the bathhouse, you get tokens and csc and other goodies as well if you keep going every day.

Most Bathhouse items are relatively cheap nowadays, even with the "retain value" feature. Buy whatever you want from someone else with sP. I didn't want to wait and that's what I did. Now, I have extra BHT. If they come out with any new stuff it will be mine right away!

If only you are good with keeping your bathhouse strike and don't need everything from the BH store (like, I don't) it's actually pretty reliable method of getting this currency. Not like, say, crypt points. The items aren't added too often, so points accumulate and people are more willing to sell theirs too. I currently have about 80 I don't have anything to do with.
