Ive not seen any anime in months. Ive seen a lot of anime but took a break and now not sure what to watch..

Trying to find a bunch (at least 10) to watch. I have a leg surgery planned and be a month of downtime. All I will be doing is going to physical therapy and staying home till my follow up with surgeon. Those are the surgeons instructions.

sounds interesting: Toaru Majutsu no Index (seen a trailer for it a boy protects a girl (who is a index)and the boy believes magic and science can co-exist) Akatsuki no Yona ( read a short description)

Try Akatsuki no Yona if you haven't seen it yet.

no I have not seen that one. I will add it to my list of ones to look into.

Im not really into dark anime though..What I mean is anime that's more toward horror genre..not my thing..

Since you seem to be into magical girl, anime, I'll try to focus my recs on that (lies, that's because I'm a magical girl fan):

• Shoujo Kakumei Utena (I think you may have watched it already, but it's a classic)
• High School Star Musical (it's an anime about aspiring musical actors)
• Cute High Earth Defense Club (AKA the magical boy anime)
• Puella Magi Madoka Magica (you might've watched it as well, but)
• Corrector Yui (old but good)
• Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (just one of the most fun mecha animes ever)
• The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (it's basically a sitcom about a psychic dude)
• Yuri on Ice (it's on its way onto becoming a classic anyway)
• Magical Girl Raising Project (if you end up not liking Madoka Magica or Hunger Games, though, better not watch it)
• Slayers (another classic, i've been thinking about rewatching it)
• Card Captor Sakura (you probably watched it as well, but it's so cute and pure!)

Here's the fews I liked and remember.. They are shojo, so, looooove.

Peach girl Bokura ga ita Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama Golden Time Toradora

Pop Team Epic is super short and easy to watch, there's only about a dozen episodes and they're less than 15 minutes each. It's adapted from a 4koma comic, so it's mostly vignettes. I found it helped me get my own appetite for anime back after having been away for a long time, as well. For something a little more traditional (PTE has a very specific, Adult Swim kind of sense of humor), maybe Tokyo Mew Mew. It's a magical girl anime quite similar to Sailor Moon, but the girls have the traits of different endangered species of animal.
