What the title says! I've been a huge fan ever since AC3, but I've dabbled in the series prior - I remember the XPlay review on the first title like it was yesterday, lol.
Personally, my top three games in the series are Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed II, and Assassin's Creed: Origins. Likewise, my favorite Assassins are Bayek and Connor (who are very, very closely tied), and Ezio, of course ; D
We're getting dangerously close to Disney prince/princess territory with those three... First failed Flynn Rider clone Ezio, then Haytham and Connor prancing around with animals like they're Snow White, and Bayek has Senu. Good Senu. (Can we talk about the 'hints' screen blurb in Origins? Or anything described in it at all... Shaun must still be doing the Animus entries, lol)
Anyway, any other fans? How long have you been in the fandom? Favorite game(s)? Favorite Assassins (or Templars?) Any ships that tickle your fancy? Anything else you'd like to add? :3c
(Also: I saw the E3 trailer for Odyssey last month. I don't know how I feel about dialogue trees being introduced to the series, but after Origins, I'm confident that Ubisoft finally knows what they're doing with Assassin's Creed again. I'm REALLY looking forward to being able to play as two different characters! How about you?)
SLIDES IN You rang?
I started with AC2 and I've played the entire series excluding Rogue because I just couldn't get into that though I do like Shay. I've always been an Ezio fan, I love that man to bits, but Bayek stole some of that love because he's such a dork. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes with Odyssey. I'm trying to platinum Black Flag, AC2, Brotherhood and maybe Rev on my PS4. I had all the achievements on my 360 but then I went PS4 for my primary console and I gotta full sync Brotherhood again. (TANK. Uhg.)
Ships that tickle my fancy? I'll show my age here - Ezio and Leo and Ezio and Yusuf. Without a doubt. Bayek and Aya are quite easily in there as well. Forever Assassins too, I mean, they're not 100% infallible but I can't stand most of the Templar ideals shown in the games.

RING-A-DING-DING, BABY
Ugh! Same here with Rogue. I just can't get past the first sequence, it just bores me too much. A friend of mine who's also a diehard fan of the series picked up Rogue instead of Unity when they both came out (ugh. I never listen to people who tell me not to preorder), and she said Rogue was actually pretty enjoyable, due in part to some characters from AC3 playing small (?) roles in the plot. I know Haytham makes an appearance (I love that terrible deadbeat father of a Templar. How does The Order feel about your negligence to pay child support, Master Kenway?) and that might have to be incentive enough for me, lol.
YUSUF! Revelations' claim to fame! Man, I never finished Revelations because I found out what goes down in Sequence 8 and I just... I couldn't bear to go any farther.
You're in good company re: ships - EzioLeo invented love. EzioLeo, AltMal (my ancient body turns to ashes after saying this), and HayZiio is my kryptonite. There's no way those two would ever work out in canon - Haytham is just too focused on The Order to care about much else. But, damn it, that won't stop me from having a feeling. (But with the Apple, AU potential is limitless...) (... He'd still care too much about The Order)
And hell yeah, another console player! (high five) I got the platinum for AC2 (ALL. THOSE. FEATHERS), Syndicate, and I'm aiming for Origins next. Man, I haven't played Black Flag in ages... I replayed AC3 a while back, and the Aquila missions/naval controls in general weren't nearly as gnarly as I remember people saying they were - in fact, I found them pretty good. It made me wanna go back and play Black Flag - I'm pretty lukewarm on that one, but the gameplay is SOOOOOOO FUN it kept me hooked (ha).
Assassins represent! At least Assassins learn from their hubris; the Templars just try to erase their own.
YEAH BABY.
I got Rogue because of its tie in with Unity but then, like you said, the first sequence is just so boring. I mean, I get there's that obligatory first intro sequence to each game so you can be familiar with the controls before you get into the main game but Rogue just drug on and on and on with that. I wanted to get into the actual targets and get that story but nope.
You know what hecks me up to this day? You know the guy who turns up at the opera booth in AC4 with Edward, Haythem and Jenny at the end? That's Reginald Birch. Re: the guy who kills Edward later that night. Re: Templar. Haytham had so much potential, as did Connor, but after Ezio's story... that seemed so rushed in my opinion. I'd go back and replay now but at the time, eh, I had a bad 2013 anyways. XD;
YUSUF'S MY MAN. And same though? I mean, I love Revelations because Ezio's so comfortable to play in there but the first and only time I beat Rev so far, when I got to sequence eight and found out, I put my control down and started actually sobbing. Like outright weeping. I adore his character, he brings such joy to Rev and I miss him. (Now I wanna play Rev but ugh, sequence eight. And I don't know if they fixed the hood glitch because I spent most of the game with Ezio's hood off with a glitch.)
THE FEATHERS. I had printed out maps for those and Venice was just a nightmare, I have to do that again in the remastered but it's like... HNNNNNNG. VENICE. I have Origins platinum'd as well, that was remarkably easy. I love Bayek's bow, if the game has archery, there's a 100% chance I'm gonna be using it. Black Flag was ridiculously fun for the whole sake of a pirate game with Assassins, now it seems so... small. I mean, after Origins. It's bitty. But I love Edward and Rhona, Ah Tabai needs to get the stick up his ass removed all considered.
Pretty much what I've said for literal years. Plus, if you get a good branch leader, you've got good Assassins. That was the mistake and downfall of the American Assassins in AC3 was just general neglect and allowing that branch to become so corrupted. You see that too with Unity, Arno would have THRIVED as an Assassin under Ezio or Connor.

I love the series yet I have never played any of the games sadly. I DO own AC Origins yet I never played it yet. Still I really enjoy the series and (most of) the characters. :)
I started with the first Assassin's Creed, and played all of the Ezio trilogy. I couldn't really get into 3, skipped 4, and was very disappointed with the one set in France. I honestly was turned off the series, but a friend of mine convinced me to pick up AC Origins. It has completely changed my opinion. The gameplay, the dynamics, everything was top notch. The DLC has been great too. I can't wait to tackle AC Odyssey after beating God of War.
