Nice start! I like the bulky shape of the sweater--it looks really comfy. :)

I think the positions of the hands with the chopsticks and bowl is a little unnatural though. For the chopsticks, the HA's hand is holding them really close to the ends that pick up food, but they should be held at least a little higher up. Here's a reference image: A Google search of "hands holding chopsticks" will yield even more reference images that you can look at. :)

For the bowl, the hand's holding position doesn't really look natural/comfortable/possible. Since it's a bowl of ramen with soup, the bowl must be pretty heavy, so I think the position of the hand needs to be made so that it looks like the hand is really supporting the bowl in a steady position. Here are a couple references you can look at: (Sorry that they're watermarked! I couldn't find a good example without a watermark on it. DX Of course, I'm only intending these as references for the hand's bowl-holding position.)

no this is great feedback! I knew the bowl would for sure give me a hard time as I took the cheaters way out and just copy/pasted the original hand from the base lul. And funny enough, I should've known better about the chopsticks. I think I was actually more worried about the fingers LOL. I will definitely make appropriate edits and use your references.

Ohhhhhh, I didn't even notice, lol. But now that you mention it...yeah, I can see that it's just the base's left hand. X3 I totally understand what you mean about the fingers; I think fingers (and toes) in general are the most difficult part of the body to draw proportionately to the rest of the body because it's so easy to draw them too big/small. ><

how does this feel? I did already make the index finger on the left had a little longer so it didn't seem so stubby. Otherwise, this is just the rough sketch of the changes

The positions of the hands holding the chopsticks and bowl look much better and more natural! :) Good job on tackling a different angle of the hand holding the chopsticks, too!

Was the pinkie finger on the left hand (the one holding the chopsticks horizontally) intentionally left out in the second sketch?

...omg, wait, you're right! 😮 It should only be four--because even the HA's feet only have four toes! Also, official onsite items like [item=Nimble Yellow Art Print V.4] and [item=Graceful Yellow Art Print V.4] only show four (assuming that the thumb is behind the body).

Sorry about that! Lol, I didn't really think about it before; I just assumed five because we have five fingers. But yeah, the HA doesn't--only four, lol. X'D

I'm glad I've been posting my progress pics because my power went out mid drawing (and before I saved my progress since the change in hand position etc) and erased EVERYTHING. But since I posted pics, I was able to just trace over what I already did so phew!

I had a busy weekend but I think I really want to try to finish this piece.

My only suggestion would be to think of shifting the position of the arm a bit more so the hands can be see-through instead of having to release the sweater with different skin tones, OR with only one skin tone and it affecting sales.

you for sure can comment on anything! Yeah I put this one on pause for a while to focus on the other sweaters and because I did want to change the pose so I wouldn't have to color hands.... basically I have to start over and I've been procrastinating haha

Do you think you'd add a bottom-band-I don't know the name for it - to the sweater bottom? The only thing I dislike about it is that it seem a bit too big on the bottom for how well the top fits. Almost like it's simply unbalanced.
In the 5th post it seems like there would be a band thingy on the bottom to give the sweater more of a natural shape. Most peoples' bodies don't bulge out at random places, it's usually more even. LOL

Did you lose your files? That would stink if you had, that is always the worst. :(

i could add a band for sure, I think I leave a lot of that open for the purpose of people using it with the booties and what not. Try not to make it so restrictive to using just strictly leggings or skin tight bottoms.

I've done so many variations on this sweater than I've saved over old files and I've switched computers a couple times since then too but I may have originals in my emails somewhere.

OHHH I see what you mean, yes. It would make it easier for layering if it were less restrictive. Oh man that is so hard to lose files or accidentally save over other files. I have had that happen before and it is no fun! :(

LOL Ok -- I know you have, you are really amazing! hugs I actually really love the hands from the 5th post too - you really have done an amazing job. I also just now realized that that post is a bit older than I thought. For some reason this is a new idea/thing for me. I'd never even thought of it as a body mod idea until I saw the post/preview (in gritty detail, a friend showed me a preview maybe a week ago, that was the first I'd ever seen of it and then I only found out it was you who'd drawn it last night/today!)! lol
