Battle Quests are stuck on the 1st level and every time I finish the battle there's 1) No return to BQ button, and 2) whenever I go there through quests widget (or the url directly) I keep getting asked to fight the same challenger, and it does not acknowledge my battles.

[edit] No EXP has been awarded either, and the challenger does not increase its HP (it´s like the battles don´t happen at all?)

I had the same problem when I posted, but this looks fixed before 7:45AM!

It's working fine for me.

Only that today - after finally being able to log on ;-) -, when I went to the BC was told, I was in a battle. Once again it was my 30th BQ battle. Which, of course, I HAD Finished. Since I am getting this so often, I have taken to always makimg sure, I receive my prize and get the "you are on level 31" end message - though sometimes it WILL end with "you have finished 30 quests for today". None of the level 30 challengers represent any problem any more, but if my pet were still not able to beat the one at hand, I'd be out of luck for the day's BQ altogether, each time this happens.

It's now working for me. :)
