Just as the art print series [item=Graceful Purple Art Print V.1] goes up to [item=Graceful Purple Art Print V.10] and the sheer gloves series [item=Single Sheer Glove (Base 1)] goes up to[item=Single Sheer Glove (Base 21)] out of 24 base skin tones (not including zapper/strains)
I'd personally like to see Items like and match darker skin tones. The opacity of the colors suggest the makeup was designed centering lighter skin tones. If there were versions to match the skin gradient that would be nice.
*future note on version making, there is/was no need for "art print" series to have so many versions if the coloring for the flesh areas remained transparent.
yup, it'd be nice to see some darker freckles And I don't think transparent art prints would be a thing, because it'd take 2 layers
This is a fun idea, but I am somewhat shy to support it fully, because it's a lot of extra artswork. Most folks don't use the rainbow of colors much and those who would tend to use zapperskins instead.
You don't seem to understand how layers work? I don't get your *-ed thing.
Both items mentioned are old and are still useable. They could be better.
There is a workaround for the Body Oil. The CW Muscles of a Demigod and the Go Outdoors tonics work on many base colors. The CW works via tone and the Go Outdoors work via shade. These are much newer items. Neither of these has a corresponding "shine" made out of a tint like Body Oil does. I stuff Body Oil under them and use the sweat items to sorta make up for that, but that could be "fixed" by having an item that does match.
The Freckle Lotion items seem to work across different colors for me, depending on which base color and which version of the Freckle Lotion you pick. I think due to their discontinuous nature it's harder to simulate what you are talking about. The old item is OK but maybe more odd variations could be made.
The transparent flesh area thing only works if the entirety of the skin showing is somewhere within the base of the HA. The art prints, for example, would show the outline of the HA's arm because the elbow isn't within the base, unlike something like where the repositioned hand is within the outline (but I am in favor of transparent areas in the case of items where it would actually work)
But yeah. I don't ever change my base, but I support things coming in various shades, including the unnatural ones
