I just picked up a Book of Very Interesting People to read to my pet Zanzi, and I had no idea it contained a Harry Potter reference! <3<3<3

What other Harry Potter references either subtle or blatant have you guys found? I'm thinking of putting together an item gallery for it. I've already sort of nabbed any items that I find as a rule because I just love it, but I'm curious what I may not have seen.

You might want to check out the Tribute/Reference Item Thread. There are some really obscure ones in there. Harry Potter is under Books/Literature/Magazines.

There's also the Custom Wearables Tribute thread. It's old though so it won't have newer items.

That particular book was a tribute to Alan Rickman, added as a free gift when he passed away about two years ago. News post.

isn't a Harry Potter reference. Neither are the pumpkin seeds or the . The Badger's description is in fact a reference to this video. But don't let that put you off using them in a HP themed gallery or TC, if you like them. The fun of building those is finding items that fit the theme, even if they weren't originally made as tribute items! ;)

isn't an HP item either. As the name suggests, it's a heroine's cape. The description is definitely a reference to The Incredibles. Avatar overlay wouldn't look out of place on an HP cosplay avatar though! :D

- I'm aware those aren't strictly harry potter references, but I put them there as items that remind me of harry potter things. The Baby Pheonix for Fawkes, the pumpkin seeds for Hagrids pumpkin patch, and the Badger cuz I'm a hufflepuff. The Cape is just the best black cape I've found for using on HAs for HP cosplay - it layers better than other ones. :)

Ah okay, no worries. It sounded like you might have thought they were references. :) It's cool that Subeta has so many items that fit into different fandoms! :D
