I miss seeing Melman on subeta and miss doing his computer quests. Perhaps you can have him set up as a shopkeeper in a retro technology store and fill it with the outdated items that are in Bits and Bytes.
Does Bits and Bytes stock enough items to warrant splitting a chunk of them off to a separate shop?
I like the idea of Melman returning as a quest giver, not of regular daily quests - we have enough of those already - but via random events (like the Oracle, or the Wizard's extra quest). Unretiring of related achievements optional.
Melman's in the Atebus Shop now, isn't he?
That's what I get for buying most of my quest items from the search shop feature. I rarely go into subeta dedicated shops any more. Thanks . But I still think splitting the outdated items from Bits and Bytes is doable and as technology advances, the items that are culled from Bits and Bytes can be put into a retro store no matter who the shopkeeper is.
Melman should come back as Subeta's next villain, riding in on some home made mech suit and causing absolute chaos. Shop-keeping be damned.
Maybe he'll be one of the Friendly Thursday challengers this year or something, IDK.
But yeah, he's in the Atebus Shop now.
Huh. squints at Atebus shopkeeper I do go in there, and I'm embarrassed to say I hadn't noticed the resemblance... not sure if this is evidence that prosopagnosia triumphs vs pixel bunnies (as well as IRL human-shaped blobs) or merely shoddy general observational skills.
If that is him and not a lookalike (brother/cousin/clone?), I hope they'll update the Subetapedia to explain how he went from this:
It was a pretty sudden announcement: link But yeah, I'd like to see the Subetapedia get an update
