I quit for the last time in October 2015, after a ticket of mine was purged. I then resumed here in November.

However I cling to my collection from their merchandise.

i'm waiting for a response on my ticket. seems like their website has really gone to hell. Especially their support >.<

There was a particular attachment with a pet from that account, the last straw. That the ticket was purged testifies such.

I'm not on as much as I used to be. I finally downsized to 1 account, 5 pets though I haven't been on since the first day of the game challenge with AAA and Abigail for this year. I might try to log back in maybe later this year.

Yeah the account I lost I had spent over $200 on neocash items so i'm really taking it hard :(

I feel your pain. I too lost my account (for no good reason, as far as I can tell, since I know I'd logged in at least once in the year prior to finding out it was frozen). I know at least one of my pet names was taken afterwards, so I don't think I would've been able to get it back. I'm plenty ticked off about it since that constituted like 8-9 years of my life. I was kinda proud of having an account that was made back in the early days of Neopets, around like 2003-2004.

I basically only go on neo now if I'm feeling nostalgic and want to play the flash games. I made my first account back in 2004-2005, and I forgot my password but played for years without getting logged off, haha. My mom got everything on our laptop wiped so I lost the account because support wouldn't let me change the password since our old email literally didn't exist anymore. I made another account that got frozen out of the blue for some reason and then quit in a permanent sense after making my way here.

I consider going back to play but their economy is so messed up and it's incredibly dated... I can't let go of my love for Shoyrus though, best pet.

Neopets makes me so nostalgic... I still have my very first account, and my first two pets, that I created way back in 2001. I'm not as active as I used to be but I still love my pets, even if most of them have stupid names. XD My username is invaderegg, I usually pop on a few times a week to play some games and whatnot but I've never been very active in the forums. I also have a couple of secondary accounts but I almost never login to them anymore. All these accounts getting frozen for no reason make me paranoid and I would hate to lose my original.

I only log in like once a year, so I don't lose the pets from my side accounts.. Stopped playing in 2013 because I got frozen testing the filters from the new single-player battledome in the worst way possible xD Even with a clean record and my argument that tecnically no one but the bot read what I said they still didn't give me a second chance.

It just wasn't the same thing for me without the pets from my main account...

I only log on Neo every now and again to do the dailies and see if I win anything good.

The new TNT is really trying to fix up the site. I came back to see what was going on. I can’t help but cheer for these people who unknowingly signed up to work on this huge sprawl of a site. Neopets is an old university campus where all the buildings are different styles.

The portals event was fun. But Neopets lacks a lot of convenience functions Subeta has :(

I used to be an active player there but after an unplanned hiatus I got a nasty surprise. I got back to find that My original pet who was "unconverted" had been stolen and I put in a ticket. Like so many others, my ticket was deleted without acknowledgement or reply and my pet not returned. My husband lost a side account and found that an unconverted pet that used to be mine was also gone. I was also a maller there for a long time but that got ruined also.

So nope, I'm done with that site and not going back!

Not any more. The scientologists took over and ruined the site. Inflation got out of control, you can't say a word on the forums there without getting your account frozen, the pets don't look as good any more and get depressed looking and guilt trip you if you don't always keep their bellies full, and in general it's just not worth it. I used to log in once a year to keep my account open, but the last time I did that was sometime in 2014, and after that I just haven't logged in again even to keep the account open. I don't really care if the account disappears at this point because the site is just archaic and clunky. Subeta runs more smoothly, pets' pictures don't get ugly when you neglect to feed them because you're away for a while (no guilt trips), and overall is just such a better experience I see no reason to return to the neopets site at this point. I understand if you're back on it for nostalgia and to try it out again, but personally I just see no positives to the site at this point. They do a lot of manipulation tactics with guilt including allowing you a fifth pet if you buy their premium subscription, only to immediately take you to a page with your pets crying in the images, the second your premium runs out. The message is clear; pay for continued subscription service, or say goodbye forever to one of your pets. I just can't support a site that does things like that, especially knowing that it's targeted at kids. Subeta lets you have five pets from the start and ten if you buy a premium (gold) account, and it doesn't force you to get rid of any when premium runs out. Like seriously why even bother with neo when you have subeta?

I hope this post doesn't come off as too aggressive. I just have a lot of negative feelings towards neopets because of how bad it's gotten. I used to have a very popular account with a choose your own adventure "neoadventure" story called "Every Thing You Write" that stayed on the top 40 most played adventures for years. I had a Royal Girl Uni, a baby Lupe, a rainbow Peophin, and a spotted Kougra named Stripes. I learned coding and fixed up my pages there with backgrounds and music and stories. I had a bunch of good memories in my time there and I made a lot of friends. It's just the people who ran the site got bought out by scientologists and now there's so much pressure to buy things with real cash and the guilt and manipulation tactics...it just leaves such a sour taste in my mouth to think about how far it's fallen. It used to be one of the most popular sites of all time and THE most popular pet site, but now it's broken in so many ways. Many of the games don't even work any more either, and everything is commercialized. Just...yuck.

Nah I still do. But I don't actively play anymore. I only go online to customise my pets and trade for NC items, then log in to put them in the neolodge and abandon them for a month and thats it really. Lol. The userbase has gotten pretty bad as they are triggerhappy with reports so I'm not as active on the boards as I used to be. Forget about trading pets anymore. Just spin Trudy until you save enough neopoints for whatever it is you want.
